Long Time No See - FSX Steam or Not?

Hi, gang. Long time no see. Flight simulation has not stood still in my absence. My question is this: is there any reason to go with FSX Steam over Boxed FSX, especially with regard to Captain Sim products?

Thanks in advance.

Tim

Hi Tim. It's great to see you again.

An advantage that I see with FSX-Steam Edition, over FSX, is that it seems to handle the memory a lot better (not that I ever had any OOM errors with FSX), as Dovetail Games have done a few updates that have improved FSX. I have all of Captain Sim's FSX products installed in FSX-SE, and they all work fine.

Installing them in FSX-SE, you have to browse to the FSX-SE directory (i.e. C:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX, or D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX), unless the they are already FSX-SE ready, so they will install there.
