Dear Captain Sim...

I really recommend you doing the B707 in P3D v4...

I have all Pmdgs planes. I had another company, flightsim lab Concorde, Captain sim from fs2004 til today. Majestic Q400, Blackbox sim Widebody,, another company A318-321

My point is ... A plane I really returned to was the B707.. There is something about it..

What about making it to a study Aircraft.. and making it P3D v4 beautiful.

Like the B727 is an awesome plane to..

Al the best..

Jens Michlas.

If I ever quit FSX to P3D v4, it will be when the 707 becomes availble!

not sure if this is exactly the right place to post this

Will the current FSX installation of the 707 work if you copied them over directly into the P3Dv4 files?

Currently in the middle of transitioning, and the 707 is one of the planes I always love to fly; would be a shame if I couldn't use it in P3D as it is right now.

It seems it works with P3D v3, which is still a 32-bit program. But I suppose it does not work with v4, which is 64-bit.

Why wouldn't it work in v4? I don't see why an executable's architecture would drastically affect the ability of the sim to load the exact same files its older counterpart did.

(Edit) 707 doesn't seem to work in P3Dv4. All the switches are dead, and it seems that my landing gear have gone missing!

I tried to install the B707 into P3Dv3.4 and it would not work.  I would very interested in a V4 version of it, I would probably even pay for an upgrade if necessary.

I would like to just add to this that indeed the 707 has to be exported to P3Dv4. It really a beautiful aircraft and a very well made addon. Should be compatible with the newest platform. Please, even if it has to be a payware upgrade.

It's third on the list (Prepar3D4 upgrades status) after the 777, and L-1011.

I love the 707, but I wish the 727 was still on the current list.  My favorite sim aircraft of all.   (And I own most of the really good planes).    Wink

G'Day Markoz thanks for that info, I guess when the 727 and 707 make into P3D I might change up then again, given how well X-Plane is progressing especially scenery wise I am not so sure any more. Sticking with FSX for the time being. Especially as I have spent the best part of a year and a half converting my world into a 1960-1970 version courtesy of Cal Classic so even harder to change now. Much prefer old Sydney Airport and Eagle Farm to the modern version but not to everyones taste.

Still really enjoy the old girl and recently went around the world, Sydney to London and then back across the Pacific. Just not much to say about it all.

Gentleman,

Please when someone says:
"make it available in P3D"

plsease dont mention p3dv3 or 1, or 2
these are all 32 bit, a completely different software

actually fs2000 and fsx are more similar than p3dv3 and p3dv4.5 (current)

always the latest guys!
who cares its compatible with P3dv1 ...

thank you Markoz for the update on the list.
Which will include the 727 also I suppose.

P3D misses three great airliners from the Golden Age
707, 727 and the Caravelle

The 707 is my favorite plane of all time. I love the CS model but feel that it didn't get what it deserved in FSX and hope it gets it in P3D. I would like to see an INS from CS like the another company DC-8 and CS L-1011 have. I would also like to see other varients. Please Please do a 707-120 and 720!!! Also Captain Sim, Please do a Convair 880. The 880 hasn't been done by anyone except HJG. Seriously though, We have the 737-100 expansion, we need a 707-100 expansion as well!

I've perchased the 737-200 and l-1011 recently, for it is available on P3dv4.It's a pity that the 707 and 727 are not updated to the p3dv4.

CS 707 is a favourite of mine as well. Used to use it in FSX-SE with triple Simufly INS and later with the ISG FMS.

Check out the General Discussion thread. P3DV4 upgrades list on the first post appears to be actively updated and has changed a few times in the last few years, but not long ago the 707 appeared as "in progress" for P3DV4, and a few days ago this changed to "standby".

Of course this could change again to something less promising but for 707 enthusiasts this is interesting.  Smiley
