Refer to the first post of the thread. Usually a good place to start.

Captains,
the following is the current status of what is going on with our product upgrades for Prepar3D 4:

The 737 Captain family - Released.
The C-130 family - Released.
The 777 Captain II family - Released.
The 1011 Captain II family - Released.

#1 is the 707.
Status: standby.

We'll update this list as we go.
The list is CURRENT so please do not ask if there's any news.

Look at the date. At this point, it does not matter any longer. Time to move on.

A few days ago the status was changed. You can see for yourself. My original post I made this week, which is just two posts above your question, has the previous status displayed in the quote in that post.

Common practice to put status updates in the first post of a thread. Pity they didn't include the edit date though.

Captain Sim updated the status recently. The original date, and time stamp do not change because of the edit, so znatusch is correct. It's status recently changed from "in progress", to "standby". Wink

I had a good time with what was offered in FS9/FSX. Maybe one day again in MSFS2020. I guess this wraps it up for the 707 and me. Thanks all.

Thanks Markoz. I really like the early jetliners and as I'm sure there others who do as well, when I saw this status change I didn't want it to go unnoticed.

Cheers

Dear Captain Sim Team,

Will we ever see the 727 having a continued future in our virtual hangars?
She a very legendary aircraft that really deserves to be on the upgrade list.
Seeing your modern-day capabilities with the recent 757 and 767, BTW, awesome work with those birds, I think your hands on the ‘727 Captain II’ would be absolutely amazing.

Little suggestion, I think a date stamp on update list would be helpful keeping us up to date with recent changes.

But yes... please, 727 Captain II  Wink

Thank you  Smiley

Gosh, the drama I missed! So, I’m still confused, feeling like Rip van Winkle. We have P3D capable, then II and III products, but then some that are banished to outer darkness like the 727. I don’t understand the difference. This seemed like a logical thread to look at, but (aside from the drama I missed—I’m not sure my heart could have taken it!) no luck.

So, what are the primo CS products for P3D5? Awaiting answer, ready to spend money.

Oh, the 727 was my intro to CS, the first tutorial I wrote about instrument navigation. It was a defining moment in my flight sim career—it looked like nothing I had ever seen before. It would be really nice to see that redone. Glad to see the 757 and 767, which bring back fond memories of my AVSIM reviewer days. And glad to see the L1011 so there’s at least one old bird.

I feel really stupid, but flight simming has moved a very long way since I was around!

The 727 was my first payware plane.  It was a steep learning curve after having mainly flown the defaults like th 737 and CRJ.  But I learned SO much about everything else in the sim and how to fly so many of the old analog classics.

I'd really love to see it in P3D 64 bit!

I definitely see them making a 727 and 707. CS already said they won't be porting the 727. Which tbh is fine cause the FSX 727 needed some work. 707 is likely impossible to port because it was FSX only. But, its two gaps in the market. I said a year before the 767 was teased that they were probably working on a new one. I'm pretty confident that they're working on both a 727 and 707.
I reinstalled FSX just to fly the 727 and 707 again. I miss them greatly.

Nothing has been better in my opinion, I don't care what version.
