Hi all,

With the 2.7 now out, here is an updated post with all the steps to install the TCAS II gauge and/or the ISG sim avionics' EHSI and Smiths FMS into the 727 virtual cockpit.

TCAS II gauge, by Lee Hetherington, is available at avsim.com

Search query:
ilh_tcas_v4.zip

Installing the TCAS IVSI in all 727 Variants (721, 722 & Freighter)

Navigate to the panel.cfg

Default Directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B727-100\panel

Steam Users:
(Drive):\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B727-100\panel

Create a backup of the panel.cfg first.

Panel.cfg Modifications

Window04=Radio Stack

Paste over gauge02 with the following:

gauge02=ILH_TCAS!Transponder, 0,266,184,109 pic:no
\\gauge02=..\..\CS_B727-100\panel\Captain_Sim.p721.P13!P13_001_tcas, 0,266,184,109

[VCockpit01]

Paste over gauge07 with the following:

gauge07=ILH_TCAS!IVSIb, 16, 520, 219, 222 other:45 pic:no
\\gauge07=..\..\CS_B727-100\panel\Captain_Sim.p721.L11!L11_vsi, 20,524, 217,220

[VCockpit07]

Paste over gauge05 with the following:

gauge05=ILH_TCAS!IVSI2b, 12, 516, 219, 222 other:45 pic:no
\\gauge05=..\..\CS_B727-100\panel\Captain_Sim.p721.R11!R11_vsi, 20,524, 217,220

If you don't use FSUIPC you also need to add trafficinfo:yes parameter to the ILH_TCAS!Logic gauge line.
Paste "trafficinfo:yes" at the end of each gauge line.

For example:

gauge02=ILH_TCAS!Transponder, 0,266,184,109 trafficinfo:yes pic:no

That's all the modifications required to install the TCAS IVSI and Transponder Panel.

These edits must be made in each 727 (-100,-200, F) variant's panel.cfg

Installing the ISG sim-avionics EHSI, Smiths FMS and MCU for all 727 Variants (721, 722 & Freighter)

Panel.cfg Modifications

Add the Window Titles:

WindowXX=EHSI CNTL
WindowXX=ISG1 MCU
WindowXX=ISG1 FMS

And replace XX with the following window number. By default:

Window10=Crew Messenger
Window11=EHSI CNTL
Window12=ISG1 MCU
Window13=ISG1 FMS

Add the Windows:

[WindowXX]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=300,100
position=0
visible=1
ident=4007
gauge00=ISG1!EFS50_EHSI_CNTR_LM, 0,0,300,100

[WindowXX]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=312,214
position=4
window_pos= 0.1541,0.3133
window_size=0.1888,0.2044
visible=1
ident=4001
gauge00=isg1!MCU, 0,0,312,214

[WindowXX]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=140,271
window_size_ratio=1.000
visible=1
ident=4004
window_pos = 0.7402, 0.4122
window_size= 0.250, 0.500
gauge00=isg1!SMITHS_FMS, 0,0,140,271

And replace XX per the above numerical order.

[VCockpit01]

Paste over gauge14 with the following:

gauge14=ISG1!EFS50_EHSI_NB, 609, 414, 183, 176
\\gauge14=..\..\CS_B727-100\panel\Captain_Sim.p721.L08!L08_hsi, 599, 399, 199, 239

That's all the modifications required to install the EHSI, EHSI Controller and Smiths FMS into the 727.

These edits must be made in each 727 (-100,-200, F) variant's panel.cfg

LNAV Operation

After takeoff, when the Autopilot is engaged with heading select active, engage LNAV with either the EHSI controller or the MCU unit. LNAV will use the heading select to input its commands.

I set the autopilot NAV/GPS mode selector to NAV (Default).

Thank you for the compliments.  Grin I hope it's of use to some of you.

Just an addition, I have found that the default Boeing 738 2D radio panel a little more user friendly. I merged the modern mode-S transponder panel to it.

Panel.cfg Modification:

Like the previous mods, this will have to be done to each 727 variation's panel.cfg.

Replace Window04 with the following,

[Window04]
size_mm=159,441
position=8
visible=0
BACKGROUND_COLOR=16,16,16
type=special
ident=RADIO_STACK_PANEL

gauge00=737-400!Comm 1,            0,   0,159, 68
gauge01=737-400!Comm 2,            0,  68,159, 68
gauge02=737-400!Nav 1,                  0, 135,159, 68
gauge03=737-400!Nav 2,                  0, 203,159, 68
gauge04=ILH_TCAS!Transponder, 0,271,159,68 pic:no
\\gauge04=737-400!Transponder,      0, 271,159, 68
gauge05=737-400!ADF,                  0, 340,159, 68
gauge06=737-400!Audio,                  0, 409,159, 32

Installed and changed panel.cfg but LNAV doesn't seem to compensate for wind. Unless I'm doing something wrong.. Heading select on, then switch on LNAV yet it's not tracking course correctly.
