This can also occur in FSX. Try to restart the simulator or switch to another plane and then back, this should help.

Hi these lines usually happen if you have the Virtual cabin enabled. Disable it and it will go away.

What I do when I have the problem, is checkmark Flight Deck Only, in the ACE, reload the 707, then uncheck it, reload the 707, and the lines usually go away for me after that.

Along the P3D problem lines:

Anyone else had a problem with framerate atrophy in P3D V3.3 or 3.4?  Really wierd problem -- starts normal, then bleeds framerates, almost like a massive memory leak, with no VAS increase?

Anyone else seeing this, and does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers,

Jason

It happens to me too. I don't know why it happens, nor do I know of a fix for it, but I have to say that it looks to me like we will have to wait until Captain Sim release the 707 for P3D. Undecided

Hi,

I just bought the 707 for 9.99 during the sale and its a great plane BUT the frames are horrible (VC only option is already selected).

C&D I have arround 40+ frames...after e.g. CRTL and E (just to start quick) the frames are dropping to down to 9/10fps

even at high altitude the frames are arround the same low value.  Cry

I am having a more or less top notch rig, means 4670k @ 4.5GHz and 1080 8GB + 24GB Ram.
Other planes like another company are running smooth as silk, the CS L1011 is running at 40+ fps.

Hope that someone can help.

Cheers

There seems to be a memory leak with the 707 in P3D, or something going on to the point where it is really unflyable in P3D.  Frames begin to drop off in flight to a point where its near dead. Is there a plan to offer for sale an updated P3D version soon?  My  wallet is open for business here!  This is a really well done airplane and from a vintage jet perspective, an essential one for the hanger. Captain Sim, can you advise?

Cheers!

Hi guys,

Sorry to 'brake in' into this topic, but I am on the verge to buy the 707 but I just want to know if it's working correctly in P3D as I don't own FSX.

But I see here it has some issues with memory/FPS.
Is this a current problem with every P3D user here?

While I can't say it's a problem for "everyone", it's worth considering that it could be a problem for you if you buy it for use in P3Dv3. You have to remember that it's made for FSX, and not P3D, so if you use it in P3D, you use it at your own risk. Undecided

Using P3D v3.4 for less than a week and one of my favorite plane - the 707 - make problems!  Sad

Have the same fps-problem - after loading the fps going down contiuous to unflyable.

If CS will Update the 707 to P3D v3 I would buy it immediately - also for EUR 60  Grin

So please?

HA! FIXED in P3D v3.4! Oh yes my holly old lady, I will bring you up to P3D Skies now  Grin xD

BUT, there is also a bad news, but first the good one:

After the fix i've stable Frames between 60-70 in the VC and Interior (outside around the plane in my Desert-Testing Area a bit over 100).

And now the bad news: It's the doppler-gauge. So you have to look about an alternative (CIVA INS?). I used the doppler nav in combination with the GPS so that the 707 follows automatically an (self created) flightplan. Maybe a NAV/GPS Switch helps, but this I have to test it first.

So, here's the fix - it's VERY SIMPLE:

1. Open the panel.cfg of the 707
2. Go to [VCockpit10] Section and place a Semicolon ; before gauge nr. 27.

It should look like this:

;gauge27=Captain_Sim.x707.dns!main, 1,1

After this the 707 should be FULLY OPERATIONAL and ready to fly in P3D 3.4! YESS  Cheesy

A Second hint: Don't turn on the Weather Radar! This costs around 12 FPS.

I hope that Captain Sim will bring a fix for the doppler-gauge! This gauge can't be opened with FS Panel Studio (it says that it is an invalid gauge), I don't know why this gauge kills the 707 in P3D  Huh
