So I picked up this lovely old girl on the sale.

Captain Sim, excellent job on this one.   Thanks for putting so much effort and love into these older liners.

Thanks also to Paul for the V-One gauge.  Your fine work makes a great simulation even better and enjoyable.  Cheers!

I did my first complete flight from KMDW to KCLE and the weather in Cleveland was HORRIBLE!!!   I'm surprised I got her down as nicely as I did.  I had a 25 percent crab angle going down to about 150 feet AGL.   Got it kicked out and leveled at about 70 feet, and greased it.

Yay! Cheesy

Hey, I also got the 707 in the sale. Quick question: where did you find the V-One gauge? I couldn't find it on AVSIM....  Undecided

Search for "707 paul tally" in the FSX Gauges category at Avsim. Cool

A very long time ago, I did a flight from YSSY (SYD) to NFFN (NAN) in the 707, in real bad weather. I had 90 knot tailwinds at FL340-FL360, and a horrible crosswind on landing. I nailed the landing, even though I didn't think I would!

The CS707 is a great aircraft addon, and I'm glad to hear you guys are loving it. Grin

Hi,

the v-one 707 gauge file is found on avsim...I just downloaded it yesterday for the 707 bought during the latest sale.

A question I have on this is with regards to the CG modification to carry out in the aircraft.cfg and reading some other posts on this whether you should do it or not.  In any case I did the modification and on t/o the gauge is showing a -16.7deg of trim required.

This is completely outside the green t/o range on the trim wheel...so is this correct and the ones who use the gauge have modified the cg to 9 or left it at the default -9.

Thanks for assistance.

The readme has an error in it. The gauge line should be:

empty_weight_CG_position = -9, 0, 0

Sorry for any confusion  Sad
