2.6 or is it 2.5? problems?

Hi everyone, I've submitted a ticket, but just wanted to see if anyone is having the same problems.  Loving the new update btw.

I just want to confirm. Is it actually 2.5 or 2.6?  Some conflicting messages on web site.  I thought it would be 2.5.  But I'm seeing a lot of 2.6.

Anyway see below some of the initial things I have noticed with the new update based on my first flight:

1.  Emergency Lights.  When armed, the red light does not go out.  It did in 2.4.

2.  Pitot tube heating.  Same, when switched on red light does not go out.

3. When I try to switch off Engine 1 or 2 using the mouse (fuel cut off switches).  Nothing happens, but the reverse thrust is activated.  Strange but its happening.

4.  Flap indicator gauge on main pilots panel is not moving when flaps are selected.  They remain on 0 all the time.

I'm not complaining just curious if anyone is having the same problems?  Is there something I'm not doing right.  Apologies if I am.  Be nice. Embarrassed

Hello,

If you have installed 2.5 then that's what you have but there is a 2.6.
To answer your questions

1.The light does go out.
2.The light goes out here too.
3.The fuel cut off switches do cut the fuel and stop the engines.
4. The flap indicator gauges work.

I would suggest that you go to your account and download version 2.6.
Then first uninstall your version using the Control Panel/Programs and Features list.
If you have repaints, remember to back up the aircraft.cfg file.
If you have a registry cleaner, at this point clean your registry.
This may not be necessary but can't hurt.
Only when your have done this, run the 2.6 installer.

Adam all those things work for me, no problems. Maybe a bad download? Start over, if you do, look for old 727 folders and delete them. Disable security programs until after the install.

Mark, or anyone ---

I'm getting the same problems, mainly the flap indicator does not work. I have un-installed and re-installed V.2.6 in both the 721 and 722 several times. There are no leftover files or folders except a few textures.

Also the old rapidly climbing and descending trim problem is there.Impossible to trim and hold trim.??

Any thoughts?

I replaced the 2.6 system gauge with the one from 2010 that was supposed to fix the pitch control back then and it did fix the flaps indicator, but broke the altimeter. The altimeter stays at 000000

I cannot get the flaps gauge to work.  The flap lever moves, the flaps themselves move but the gauge stays in the "up" position.  Anyone else have this issue.

For the guys with the "flap issue", just goes in the engineer panel and turn on electrical feed to engine1. The flap gauge will work after that.

Did you try this recommendation from user Flavio?

Thanks, Paul.

I just spent an hour trying to figure out what Flavio meant by that. I see nothing on the engineers panel that says electrical feed to engine 1. I saw and flipped a lot of switches on the electrical panel, but nothing got the flaps indicator needle to move.???

I even looked in the manual and couldn't figure it out??
