I think it would be great if Captain Sim did their own version of many of the payware aircraft out there, as I'm sure they would do a better job of it, but that's not going to happen. Sad

Priority ONE:
747-200, Fokker F-27.

Priority TWO:
DC-10, DC-8 (another company doesn't matter), A310.

Priority THREE:
DC6, DC-3 with upgraded instruments (still operated as freighters), 757/767v2 with proper VC geometry.

Priority FOUR (2018):
Convairs, Caravelle, Connie...

dreams dreams... I assume the developer is dead?

The DC8 from another company is not a good product in my opinion as all the things they do. I´ve bought it but it isn´t worth the money paid. CS can do a good job I´m sure. Angry

I like the gulfstreams too but the company's a sticklers when it come to licensing. That's why you won't see one for fsx/p3d. they won't even let you make a freeware one either. I had hoped that a good developer could get permission but i gave up Sad but you never know.

ps..the vote for next aircraft has been made and we are waiting for the announcement which will come upon release so any other new aircraft would be a long way off imo....but i could be wrong  Wink doubt it lol

Last year, we had a vote on what we wanted the next aircraft to be. We selected three, like a first, second, and third preference. An aircraft was the winner, but no one knows what it is. Captain Sim are keeping it a secret, and will probably let us know when they release the External Model, which is what they did with the B-52, 737, 777, and L-1011. So we just have to wait for when they do that, or tell us what it is. Undecided Wink

Another suggestion: fokker 70 or 100

Already there is available DC-8's available thru Just Flight, created by Aeroplane heaven or Black Box simulations, can't remember which now.

Also Many DC-8's available thru HJG Group / Historic Jetliners Group, for both 2004/ FSX, tho fairly generic.

Already have 747's of 100 & 200 models developed by CLS and soon I heard another company in time.

Everybody needs to quit chasing each others Tails making the same Aircrafts !!

Some may not know their Vintage Jetliners ???  Huh

I can think of "3 Vintage Jetliners" that NOT person has mentioned !!!  Shocked

1 : Convair 880 Jetliner
2: Sud Caravelle Jetliner
3: Vickers VC-10 Jetliner

Frankly, I'd like to see the "Convair 880 Jetliner" Developed,, as well as Captain Sim did on the 707 & 727 models ~ !!!

Complete with nice looking interiors and other trinkets !

CONVAIR 880 :

The VC-10 was my first choice. Like the L-1011 it was ahead of it's time. Though not many were made CS should not discount that. It would be a great choice and a great challenge for CS. There is a freeware version of this out there, but leaves much to be desired that only CS can do right by it.  Wink

I think they should do the 737 classic -300, -400 and -500. It would be easy because they can go off the 737-200s cockpit. Also, they should make it so in the ACE, you can make it so the VC has all steam gauges or the normal 737cl basic displays.

I would like to see for P3D :

First Pick - MD80 series, remember all the payware versions are made for FSX, except another company tried a version for P3D and leaks memory faster than the Titanic.

Second Pick - DC-9 series, again P3D is not in the running for this series with the other sims.

Third - This one is a stretch but how about an A330 series, that is complete from the get go! Smiley

Already far in development by another developer (the same one who's doing the Dreamliner), looks very promising. Can't say for sure, but I think they'll release it this year.

I see all kind of vintage aircraft request, but what about something more recent? Something like the ATR42/72 or perhaps the Embraer E-Jets?

The Convair 880 and 990 would be the best next plane for Captain Sim. Captain sim is my favorite developer by far. NOBODY has developed a payware version of either of those planes and the only ones out there are for fs2004 from HJG lacking VC's and modern sim functionality. They would have a monopoly on the plane like they did with there 707 since no one has done a model of either. I also wish they would do the earlier versions of the 707 as well as the 720. If only they would do a DC-10 with the level of detail and systems integration of the L-1011......She would be well recieved.

Captain Sim, If you go that route I have tons of real world 10 ( CO, NW, and AA.) experience and reference material including photos. I'd love to help out.

"OTHERS" (that rule again Wink with all due respect) 747 is the 200 and 300...no 100 and it's mediocre and kinda old...i have it, i like it, but the original 747-100 is a much better fit than a DC anything in my opinion for CS's selection...im thinking how much better the quality of work is here and what made a bigger impact/legacy than the 747, iconic and nostalgic. and just because a plane has been done by others is no reason not to do it if you can do it better.

the MD's n DC's jets are ugly imo...almost as ugly as the A380 lol  Grin

my opinion..."just cuz i don't like it don't mean it ain't no good"
