I have reduced the sizes of the 2D DSP, EFIS, CDU, MCP and COM (radio) panels by 1/3 their default size (I did this the 777 for FSX and the 777 for P3D), but only because they take up too much of my screen when I selected the 2D panels. I don't know if that is what you are referring to, but if it is, I don't think that doing it increased my frame rates at all.

Of course if you are leaving them in the background (by changing views while they are still open), then it might make a difference to the frame rates.

Mark,

I am referring to the pixel size as opposed to the panel size in the panel.cfg file and, believe me, the gains are very real. This refers only to the 3D VC cockpit section of the panel.cfg file, not the 2D windows.

Hmm. That IS weird.

It would help to hear from more people who only have P3D installed, to say whether or not they have the same problems installing it. Undecided

Hi Mark,

I have only P3DV2.2 installed, no fsx.  I have never installed fsx on my current PC.  Only when I installed the Estonian migration tool (which makes FSX entries in the registry I suppose), I was able to make it work.

Regards,
Stephane

SleepyWeltonBoy gets the award for the week - that's a great fix and has improved one of my lowest FPS aircraft. Even in critical environments, your fix put me from 17-18 FPS to over the 20 mark. The effect on the gauges is hardly noticeable... unless you really zoom in...

I have only P3D v2 installed.

I installed the P3D2 version of CS 777 directly without problem. The Migrator was not used.

But with, or without Estonia, the older FSX version or the new P3D version, ACES completely, stubbornly and wilfully refuses to open beyond a taskbar mini-window.

I have found a number of liveries for Air New Zealand 777, but they cannot be made to 'work' in ' CS777 for P3D v2.

Can you share a link for the ones that don't work? I would like to take a look at them and hopefully figure out why they aren't working for P3Dv2.

I have both FSX and P3Dv2 installed on my computer (in Win7 and Win8.1). I tested the ACE for the CS 777 for P3Dv2 it works fine in both OS's. Undecided
