Heading and Course bug speed

Hi... I'm new in FSX and new with the CS 707, also my pc is not high-end enough to be smooth with FSX.

My question, when I turn the heading or course bugs in the CS 707 HSI it is so soooooooo slow, it takes me 45 seconds to turn 180°, is there any way I can accelerate the knobs selection so with a few mouse wheel turns I can get faster changes?

Thank you!!!  Wink

None that I know of. On my computer (specs in my forum signature) it takes about 10 seconds to turn the bug 180 degrees, which is reasonably quick. Sad

Well, possibly, there is another solution that I would recommend.

I just say to the first officer "Set heading 180" and he sets the heading bug to what's commanded.

How do you do that? With Multi Crew Experience. MCE now fully supports the Captain Sim 707.....Including the Flight Engineer as well as the First Officer! Cheesy

Cheers

MCE is money well spent in my opinion. I just wish that the FO or FE could understand me better! It doesn't seem to understands my Aussie accent very well. Undecided

Hi Mark, that's no problem Wink

William (F/O and Radio man) is an Aussie!

Even guys who don't have English as their first language can use MCE. With heavily accented voices the software will recognise the vowels and "know" what's been said.

With voice recognition, its a case of doing the voice training a few times and having a decent headset microphone.

Seriously, with the F/E option MCE has become an impressive package. If MCE cover the 727 that will be another gem!

Regards
David

For me it takes more than a few times, and it still has trouble. Of course it could be that my headset isn't decent enough (a Turtle Beach Earforce X12), but they don't seem any worse than my Saitek GH20 Vibration Headset that they replaced. Undecided

Oh well. More training is the way to go for me. I'll just have to wait until I have the computer room all to myself, otherwise my wife and sons will think I am either talking to them, or talking to myself. When things don't go as planned I get quite vocal about it (loud, but to myself), so there is nothing unusual about that. Grin
