Go to the [FSX]\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B777-200ER_GE\panel folder, open the panel.cfg with Windows Notepad and comment out (add // to the beginning of the line) the gauge02=Captain_Sim.x777.update!Main, 0, 0,  3, 3 under [Window00].

Like this:

[Window00]
file=bg.bmp
background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,768
window_size_ratio=1.00
visible=1
ident=MAIN_PANEL
render_3d_window=0
window_size= 1.000, 1.000
window_pos= 0.000, 0.000
gauge00=Captain_Sim.x777.sys!main, 0,0, 1,1
gauge01=Captain_Sim.x777.sound!main, 0,0,1,1,Captain_Sim\777\sound.ini
//gauge02=Captain_Sim.x777.update!Main, 0, 0,  3, 3
gauge03=Captain_Sim.x777.wxr!main,1,1,1,1

The Captain_Sim.x777.update!Main gauge is known to cause FSX to crash (CTD) on some computers (usually because it doesn't have permission to access the internet to check for updates).

What is your operating system? XP/Vista/Win7/Win8?
If it's Vista/Win7/Win8, then you need to install the 777 using the "Run as administrator" option. Right mouse click on csx772_1200.exe and select "Run as administrator" from the list that pops up.

Were is FSX installed? In the default location (C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86))?
If your OS is Vista/Win7/Win8 AND FSX is installed in the default location  (C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86)), then FSX itself might need to be run using the "Run as administrator" option as well. To make FSX always run as an administrator, go to the FSX root folder, right mouse click on fsx.exe, select Properties, click on the Comparability tab, checkmark (place a tick in) the box Run this program as an administrator (under Privilege Level). FSX will always run with administrative rights, which might prevent it from crashing.

Hope this help
