2D panel - work in progress

For those of you that like to have reasonably functional 2D panels here are a few compares of my work-in-progress. Most gauges used are original 732 with a few from other models. If you want the full size picture click on the link above the screenshot.

Biggest problem is the flight director. Will likely need to sacrifice some functionality here...

Stay tuned....

Wow. Now I am not a 2D user but I'd say this is pretty good work and may help some folks still flying the old way.  Smiley

Looks very good for a 2D panel for the 737.
I prefer using the VC and have done so ever since they became functional in FS9/FS2004 ACoF. Wink

Hi BrzI,

How are things coming along? I for one would be interested in using the 2D cockpit if you make it available. Have you noticed any difference in FPS?

Keep up the great work,

Nathan.

I am also very interested in a 2-D Panel.  I know that's not popular on this board but it my preference.  I tried a 2-D I downloaded from Flightsim.com and the landing gear disappeared. Has anyone had success in using a 2-D panel with the CS 737 ?

Make sure you include these three lines are included in the panel.cfg:

gaugeXX=Captain_Sim.x737.sys!main,0,0,1,1
gaugeXX=Captain_Sim.x737.sys2!main,1,1,1,1
gaugeXX=Captain_Sim.x737.sound!main, 1,0,1,1, Captain_Sim\737\sound.ini

Ad the under [Window00] and rename gaugeXX to the next concurrent number in the list. For example, if the last gauge before those lines is gauge20=XXXXX!XXXX, etc...., then you add them like this:

gauge20=XXXXX!XXXX, etc....
gauge21=Captain_Sim.x737.sys!main,0,0,1,1
gauge22=Captain_Sim.x737.sys2!main,1,1,1,1
gauge23=Captain_Sim.x737.sound!main, 1,0,1,1, Captain_Sim\737\sound.ini

This will make so that the landing gear will be able to be seen. Wink

Hello,

We use the 737 at my Air Cadet Sqn. The way we have our simulator set up would really benefit from a 2D panel

How are you getting on with it? If you'd like any testing or feedback, let me know; I've 45 people willing to comment!
