wow that's an old cpu you got.

Before you overclock i would play with the fiber frame time fraction as you could get between 1 and 3 fps more, maybe a little more but you should consider upgrading i feel. Find the max your motherboard can take and look on ebay or something for a price idea of what it will cost as you might be able to get a quad core cpu very cheap now due to the age of the system.

Thanks I do play with the fiber frame fraction set to .10. I also talked to the people at my virtual airline and they said that the processor that i have been looking at (HP 5189-3902 - 2.83GHz Intel Core 2 Quad-Core Processor Q9550) will not give me a good increase of frames what would be my best option?

Since the CS 777 and for that matter most contemporary complex addons are heavy users of CPU, you need to consider seriously upgrading to a new computer. I don't know where you're located or what your budget restrictions are, but there is a good hardware sub forum at AV*** , which will give you an idea of what you need and where you might find something for a good price. I think upgrading your current machine would be flogging a dead horse. If you spend a lot of time with FSX, spending a few extra bucks will be good entertainment value. Just my 2 cents.  Cheesy Cheesy

My only thought is that you need a new pc if you have a budget for it but even then fps can still be an issue regardless of what you fly at the bigger airports. I tend to stick to regional payware airports as the fps tends to be better.

I have an i5 3570K overclocked to 4.5ghz and a 470GTX and at the big airports like EGLL my fps can take a real dive, below what im happy with which is 24fps.

I tend to fly the CS757 ( love that bird best in the sim even with its bugs ) and another developers a320

If your bios is locked and it prevents you from overclocking then a new system would be the only way, depending on where you are in the world it can be cheap to do depending on what you can can use from your current pc.
