Hello all

I installed the WR it works by pressing shift-6 however, I would appreciate if someone helps me to learn how to make the WR show at the VC as well

Best regards

1. Run the CS Weather Radar's WXR Editor and add a 2D WXR to the JS4100
2. Open the JS4100 aircraft.cfg (with Notepad) and go to [/VCockpit.02], replace this line: gauge04=rxpWX500!RDR,  532, 528, 472, 331 with this line: gauge04=rxpWX500!RDR,  532, 528, 472, 331

That should place the CS WXR in the VC. You will need to make changes on the display (Range, Gain, Tilt) using the 2D WXR panel. On mine it is Window05, so pressing SHIFT+6 opens the 2D WXR Panel.

It should look like this when you are done.

Mark, this merge is interesting. Although I do not own the PHDG J41 I would definitely be interested in adding the CS WXR for another of their products, say the 737. Do you think is worth a try?

The people at Precision Manuals have a lame idea, in my humble opinion, that including no weather radar at all is better than making one, maybe not able to simulate a 100% accurate rain paint, but just an interesting WXR for their products. It's FSX after all, no need to get obsesive-compulsive with realism, I think it's actually an excuse, but it makes no sense as they seem to be capable of producing great features overall.

Anyway, you know a ton more than me of FSX inside machinery if I may call it that, if you have an idea of adding CS WXR to their 737 please share it so I can test it  Wink  Grin

Happy flights

In all honesty, I doubt you can place it in the VC. I can see where to add it in there. So in my opinion, you can only add it as a 2D panel. Undecided

There are a few developers out there with that idea. I doubt they will change their minds either.
