Yeah the WX radar and Terrain are very important, but the A/T, TOGA, cabin lights, FPS...etc are not important!  Angry   I'm disappointed! Cry

CS, I liked very much the new pics on aircraft systems page, I'm sure we will eventually enjoy a great 777.

Come on let's think a bit, just because they are not previewing those features you mentioned does not mean they're not working on them, right?  Roll Eyes

Where does it say that they aren't going to be fixed in the next update? Sad
All the post says is that the WXR, TCF and TERR are coming. These are new inclusions in the 777. That's all.

They are just showing more stuff being added into the aircraft which is good news BTW! They will have fixed the main bugs by now VNAV, LNAV ect ect or they wouldn't of even been thinking of putting extra big things like that.

Don't whine until you get the update and test it out If i'm wrong and it's not fixed in the update then you can whine  Wink

if the WX radar and Terrain are added with the FPS is the same or better. I tip my hat to CS for doing that. On other payware product, when you have this weather and terrain mapping stuff going on with the panel, you will have a frame hit.

Nice to see the progress that is being reached. I personally would like to see a way to limit N1 for take off and climb in the next update. Climb rate of this bird for medium range flights is insane  Grin

with the system specs ur running why you having problems with FPS? I really doubt they will be able to do anything regarding this subject exspecially with the wxr,tfc and terr getting intergrated init unless you dont switch it on.

I think the only way to tone down the FPS is to reduce the textures ect ect.

Bare in mind i did recall at somepoint that an option was getting added in the ACE program to tone some things down but it's a question of when it get added or IF they get added  Smiley

and havent you learned by now in FSX it's not just how many frames it's how smoothly you run it. When i'm tweaking my system which is no where near matching your system i don't worry about frames it's how smooth i can run it.

...

well, it's a good question, the 777 is the only plane i have with i encounter smooth & fps problem...

And don't try to say that I'm alone with that issue, AVSIM, Flight sim and many other big forum are full of guys who had same issue Wink

& just for info, I have absolutely no problem like that with a well know concord or 737 addon who ask big resources from computer on big scenery...

So my question is legitimate & I asking a clear responds from the team.

thanks

Tanya,

Can you confirm if the issue with not being able to select RNAV, ILS, NDB or any other approaches in the FMS has been fixed? Previously in the 757,767 this has been an issue where you could only have selected the runway for your approach.

Yeah....I hope this is fix on 1.2, put away all the other cosmetic and fancy stuff. We need to have all the data information (also the screen flickering) on PFD and ND so we can complete a very nice ILS auto-land.

Hi Tanya,

Obviously after my last warning, i have decided to sit on the sideline and watch what is happening on the forum.

Just quickly you say "Yes the issue will be fixed", does that mean that it will be fixed with v1.2 or another update thereafter?, just want some clarification in regards to that point.

Thanks and have a awesome day.

I'm sure it's being worked on.

The funny thing is this... They optimize for better fps. Okay, that's great. Then add a WXR and TERR and maybe that ruins it all again? One would think that adding those would have to affect the fps. Undecided

Seeing as I have no idea on how to optimize for FSX, I could be wrong. I certainly hope that I am wrong.

I used the textures that vonstroheim has posted in the wish lists forum and I got a moderate increase in FPS. Have any of you tried the Razr game booster, that along with Bjotes FSX.CFG tweak, and the FPS limiter, have made using the 777 V/C more FPS friendly. Here are the links this is for the FSX tweak http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html,you can also get the link for the FPS limiter here! There is a tutorial on Youtube on how to use the FPS limiter here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy6D3CAkGMo, and here is the link for the Razr game booster, the guy in the Youtube video showed me this http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster. I know I don't have an high end system so I have to tweak as much as possible to get the most out of my machine, with these tweaks I have received a considerable increas in FPS not only in the 777 but other aircraft also! I hope this helps Wink

Like he said yes captain sim related but optimising FSX are 2 different things and optimising FSX with tweaks is another game all together!! it can take weeks to get your system right with the tweaks right for your system even 2 identical p.c's are never the same  Wink

I've worked with tweaks for FSX for the past year and i'm telling you it's not easy people think added a bunch of tweaks and thats it Totally wrong

yup...last day of May.
I have my Air France B772 ready from Tahiti to LAX to test an 8 hour flight with this new version.
Then this weekend we go for the ultra long haul......

I hope that fuel burn scalar also been taken care of, as this FDE is not burning a lot of fuel.

It will have a frame hit no matter what, cuz you are adding more stuff on the panel that requires more resource on your system.
I have a Carenado CT182 Sylane prop with glass cockpit with WXR,TCF and TERR flying over FSDreamteam Honolulu, my FPS goes down dramatically. Flew a non glass cockpit and FPS went back to normal and imagine on a B777. You going to end up flying using these 777 panel features on a default FSX airports only.

He has a point, I wouldn't use WXR unless I can see the weather ahead, and then you best avoid the weather as you will get another FPS hit, depending on the clouds or any other weather programyou are using.

What I want to see is all the existing systems and panels working bug-free before adding new features. I flew the CS 777 today after a two-month break (waiting for the update) and although the long haul flight was completed, the autopilot worked better in 1.0 than in 1.1. Hoping it all comes together nicely in 1.2.

As stated many times it won't happen till CS is happy with it. OK, so lets have a little fun and guess the release time and date:-
The prize: Free installation of these upgrade enhancements!

My guess.

Hey everyone!
I would like to introduce myself on my first post.
My name is Isaias, I'm a ramper in KMCO and my favorite aircraft as you can tell is the 777, never flown on one (at least a real one Smiley) & I really hope that's going to change soon.
I'm excited for 1.2 and all the new features that will probably come with it.
If there's anything I can help don't hesitate to ask.

The extended delay from last month estimate release is a good sign. They probably saw or looking at something, so we don't get disappointed on this 1.2 or maybe a big jump to 1.5 or 2.0.

they only go step by step with updates 1.1 1.2 1.3 ect ect when theres problems with the aircraft and bring hotfixs out if it were really going to be a big jump in this process they come out with v2.0 with all fixes fixed which originaly that was what v1.0 should of been in the first place!

v1.0 should of been most of the aircraft and systems fixed but dissappoint as the aircraft should of been still in beta and labeled v0.9 thats why cs had an hard time from customers

No matter what the this new update is going to be we'll be talking about it for quite a long time " if systems ect ect and the main problms " are fixed Smiley

I just wish i have the update be satisfied with it and then buy the rest of the expansions for it  Wink

Which i know that they will be fixed or else why would they add extra components big components like the radar ect ect
