ACE error box

When I start ACE, I get a box with a red X to come up.  ACE will start, but I am unable to add any new liveries to my 757.  I have the correct files in the variant folder, but they do not show up.  I am using an Intel I7 processor with 8GB ram, 1024mb video card, 1.25TB available space Windows 7 OS.  Any help is appreciated in advance.

I have reinstalled the product, I cleared the registry, I reinstalled as administrator, no firewall, no user control, no antivirus software and I am STILL getting the error box.  I have done everything your instructions indicated to a T and still having the same issue.  What is the problem with this product????????? Are you sure that the liveries you are trying to add to the 757 are able to be added using the ACE? Or are they supposed to be added manually. Many of the repainters do not make them so they can be add using ACE.

Within the Zip file, there must be:
a description.txt
a texture.cfg
a thumnail.jpg

If either of the first two are missing, then they might need to be added manually. Instructions should be in a "readme.txt" file (or something similar to that) telling you if it can b added via the ACE program, or have to be done manually.

I do mine manually regardless of whether they can be added using ACE or not.

There is one little thing I have to say about the ACE.  I don't believe I read in the instructions that ACE runs OUTSIDE of Captain Sim.  You DO NOT run ACE while Captain Sim is running.  I figured that out and ACE works as promised.  The simple things in life. Grin
