There is something fantastic about an old aircraft, that looks well used, that I love. This is why I love the used look on my add-on aircraft. Especially the Captain Sim 707, 727 and 737! Grin

I agree. The 707, with its lofty wings, narrow body and proud nose is hard to beat from an aesthetic standpoint. Sad, Saha Air crashed one of their 707's in 2005. It was written off as a total loss. I didn't know they had another. Great to see the 707 is still flying in passenger service. Thanks for sharing.

And 707's were so easy to work on.

Good find. I laugh when people hate on McPhat for their "unrealistically" worn textures. McPhat used to really run their textures through the wringer, but I've noticed they've responded to criticism and toned down their wear and tear. That's why the CS 727 will never be beat in my book. I never get tired of that old cockpit. Yes, the 707 is a close second. Nobody builds more character into their airplanes than Captain Sim.

Captain Sim is first class when it comes to textures. And I love worn cockpits, and reasonably dirty aircraft. They look like they are used to make money for the company who flies them. Clean doesn't mean they're better!!!! Cheesy

"Old and worn out, but still cool." hmmm... sounds like me on a good day. Or "Too old to rock and roll, but too young to die."

Funny you say that, our kids friends think that my wife and I are "really cool", much to the embarrassment of our kids. I'm definitely not too old to rock'n'roll, I'm going to a Suzi Quatro concert in Feb 2014, and I'm really looking forward to it. I last saw her in 2007, when I went to two of her concerts! Yeah. I'm a mad Suzi Q fan. Shocked

My son has a vinyl collection with Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc. Funny how our generation's kids prefer our old music to what's current. Maybe it's just good taste. I wonder if flight simulation is going the way of model railroading, though. Try as I might, I cannot interest my kids in it. Sometimes I think hobbies in general are graying... and younger people prefer entertainment.

And I guess Suzy Quatro was a bigger hit in Australia than in the U.S.
