All improving tips together thread

Regarding the flight and system issues.
Many tips / workarounds are devided all over the 777 forum.



Sudden airspeed loss :

Shift + H



Gear missing on 300- models

Re-install with manual offline actiivation



No nav, strobe, taxi , etc lights

Make sure the generators are on



Modified 777-200LR airfile for improved spoilers drag

If you have a good solution regarding the VNAV and AT issue pleasae post it here too.

Starting the engines

Use CTRL+SHFT+F4 to put the mixture to FULL RICH.This will open the fuel control switches.
Start the engines with the START/IGNITION Selectors

Take Off Power:

If you want a lower thrust setting on takeoff try derating the takeoff through the flex temperature... That seems to be the only reliable way to derate your takeoff for now from my observations.  Smiley

Can't pull up the 2D Panel

CS has elected not to install a complete 2D panel in the 777. There are, however, 2D "Popups" for many cockpit components.

VNAV won't work properly

Just after take off, and before engaging VNAV, re-insert the cruising altitude on FMC (VNAV, page 2 CRZ)
