Until version 0.9, you could fly in P3D, in version 1.0, this is not possible.

I haven't tried it in P3D yet, I want to mess with in FSX until I know it's problems, THEN I'll try it in P3D. That could be a few days away.

Make sure that all the entries for the 777 in the DLL.xml file are added to the DLL.xml file for P3D.
If you don't know where to find the DDL.xml file, open the RUN command (Windows Key + R) and enter this: %AppData%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d, and it will open the Prepa3D folder in Windows Explorer, so you can access all the files in it.
Using %AppData%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d\dll.xml will open the DLL.xml file in notepad, but not it's location.

EDIT: Make sure you comment out the Captain_Sim.x777.update!Main gauge in Window00 in the panel.cfg, it causes my P3D to CTD.

[Window00]
file=bg.bmp
background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,768
window_size_ratio=1.00
visible=1
ident=MAIN_PANEL
render_3d_window=0
window_size= 1.000, 1.000
window_pos= 0.000, 0.000
gauge00=Captain_Sim.x777.sys!main, 0,0, 1,1
gauge01=Captain_Sim.x777.sound!main, 0,0,1,1,Captain_Sim\777\sound.ini
//gauge02=Captain_Sim.x777.update!Main, 0, 0,  3, 3

Correct, this works well, my P3D was in trouble.
I was using some modules LUA, which also have problems in other aircraft.
Now 777 works fine in P3D !
Resolved.
Thank you.

Hi,
I did what you said. However, in P3D, the 777 would start with both engines shut, and there is a annoying and repeating warning tone. The sound itself is about 3 seconds long,  stops for about 4 seconds, and goes on again.
Do you have a solution?
Thank you.

Yes. Press the "G" key to put the landing gear lever in the down position which is giving you the warning. And you might need to press "F1" to get the throttle levers to the "idle" (0%) position (mine are sometimes fully forward - 100% - in both P3D and FSX).

Hope this helps.

What is the function of the line that is commented on panel.cg the P3D?
It is related to the mechanism of the landing gear and full throttle, which occurs when starting the 777?
Just curious.

Hi Joćo

What is the function of the line that is commented on panel.cg the P3D?
It checks to see if there is an updated version is available for the 777 on te Captain Sim website. For some reason, in P3D, it always causes a CTD. At least it dioes for me. Once I comment out that line, it works fine in P3D. I did a short test flight of the 777 in P3D and it worked just like it did in FSX.

No. It isn't. For some reason, sometimes when I start FSX (I'm not sure how often it happens in P3D yet), the Gear Lever is UP, the throttle levers are full forward (100%) and the Captain and FO seats are in the fully forward position.

Hi Markoz,
How does the i7-3770 perform with the 777? What frame rates do you get?
Thank you.

The 777 performs very well. Using the default flight at KSEA, I get range of 20fps up to 25fps with these setting:

I am using Ultimate Traffic 2 with settings of 30% AI traffic for both GA and Airliner traffic:

I just purchased the 777 and the addon package and also the CaptSim Migration Tool and haven't been able to get the 777 properly running.  I have done all that I have seen people mention on the Captain Sim forums.

Sound is working fine, no landing gear, controls are locked pointing to the left, instrumentation is non functioning.

Any ideas what this could be?

Also, I cannot post in the forum except in existing posts.  Is this proper?  Do we need to wait several days before we are allowed to start a post?

Hi Bill.

Long time no see (I'm Mark958 in the FFDS Design Forum). Wink Welcome to the Captain Sim forums.

I'm not sure why you can only post in existing Topics - I thought that, even though you don't have 10 posts (which limits you from adding media and links), you should still be able to create a new Topic. Undecided

I had the 777 v1.1 working in P3D, but I can't get 777 v1.2 working in P3D. I must admit that I haven't tried using the Flightsim Estonia FSX to P3D Migration Tool (is that the migration tool you refer to?) on it yet, but I heard of only one person who got it working so far, while the rest haven't.

I'll have to see if I can figure out what might be stopping it working (I have my suspicions, but haven't tested them yet).

Done all of that, but it still doesn't work for me. Huh Even running P3D as an administrator doesn't make it work. Undecided
