I'm looking for a tutorial that easy and simple explains how to do an ILS landing.
All i could find on the web are the tuts from mercury oneone on youtube, but they are a bit to complicatet for me Smiley
The PDF's from Cpt Sim aren't very helpful either.

Mercury one tutorial is good! BUT - i dont know....its old plane. I believe most of the pilots just disconnect it and land by hand. i do it all the time.

There is a real world 727 pilots here - lets see what they'll say about it.

I tried A\P approach and found it lot more difficult than disconnect it above 10 000 ft and do all myself. Thats always FUN! Cheesy

I don't think a 727 can land itself so at some point regardless, you will have to disconnect and land it yourself. The autopilot will take some of the load of getting on the localizer and glide slope but you will need to understand what your are looking at to take over at some point.

You would be better served by learning the ILS approach technique on a slow plane like the 172. You will have much more time to make corrections to your attitude. If you are not already proficient in a more forgiving plane, you will just get frustrated in a fast mover. The gauges for the ILS landing are the same regardless of the aircraft.

This plane does ILS landing marvelously.   You just have to get the speed and configuration right.
