Does the 737-200 have wingtip navigation lights? If so, where are the switches in the VC?

On the OH panel, lower right side, POSITION light switch. Down for ON, up is also ON, which I assume is for when only the battery is providing power to the 737 and center is OFF.

To the right of the Position light switch, is Anti Collision light switch, this turns the beacon lights ON.

There are no strobe lights on the 737. I'm pretty sure that strobe lights were not a requirement back in those days.

Thanks, Markoz. I will check that out.

On a side note, iI have noticed an issue when I load the aircraft at the runway threshold with engines running. When I accelerate for take off, the speed indicator and artificial horizon do not seem to be working. These only seem to start working when I leave the ground. Surely this can't be right? How am I supposed to know when I reach take off speed?

Am I doing something wrong here? Do I need to do something else to get those indicators working before commencing my take off run?

EDIT: I found the solution in another thread. I need to toggle the GEN1 and GEN2 switches on the overhead panel.

The POSITION switch is set to ON, but there are still no wingtip navigation lights visible....  Undecided

EDIT: The GEN1/GEN2 switch solution for the above has also solved the wingtip navigation lights problem. They are now visible  Smiley

Yes, Gen 1 or Gen 2 has to be online for the position lights to work.

I had this happen with the 707 several times before. I usually run a repair of FSX and Acceleration to fix it.

i've just switched from FSX to P3D v3 and buy a new 737 for that but i don't see the navigation lights. Only when strobe light is off and gen 1, gen 2 are on, i can see a very small red light ( which is not realistic ! ) on the left wintips but nothing on the right ...
I've tried lot of things and search in this forum but i've still the issue. Please captainsim and users , can you help me ?
Thanks very much !

I'm not sure why you're having this issue, as I can see them (green (right) and red (left)) when I'm using either the External Power, or the APU with the APU Gens ON, or the engines running with Gen 1 & Gen 2 ON. Whether the Anti Collision lights are ON or OFF makes no difference, I still see them.

Have you downloaded and installed the 1802 update?
If not, then you can get it here: https://captainsim.com/products/x737/sp1800.html (make sure you download the Prepar3D 2/3 version).

The update not solving the problem:
Have you tried a complete reinstall?
Have you checked to make sure that after turning your AV back on that it hasn't removed a file it has flagged as a false positive?

Something that I always do is this. I add the location of the Captain Sim installion files (F:\Captain Sim Products), and the location of the Prepar3D v3 installation (E:\Flight Sims\Prepar3D v3) to my Anti Virus Exclusions list.
