Another Sound/Load issue win7/64b

I only get engine sound and when I try to re-load aircraft it puts the engine covers on, chocks in and pitot covers on and will not allow me to remove them.

What i've done so far:
Re installed as admin half a dozen times
KB 2930
the 71.dll install
sim sound from 1 to 0

I always start from free flight... and no the 727 is not the default.

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

I've researched this for hours and might have missed a fix somone found???

CS, why has this not been addressed? seems like eveyone has a sound issue... the ones that don't, most likely don't know it or do this multiple load/ reboot stand on one leg routine with is just stupid.

Go to Documents\Flight Simulator X Files and locate the 737-200 Captain Cold-n-Dark (KSEA).FSSAVE file - it should have the FSX icon associated with it (see attached image). Double click on it so that FSX starts and goes directly to the flight at KSEA with the 727-100 Cold-n-Dark (this bypasses the FSX Opening Screen). See if it's working fine if you start it that way.

Out of curiosity, what is you default flight?

Mark,

No luck... Aircraft was not cold and dark and again no sounds other than engines.

I also cannot get ANY repaints to work (been simming since 2003) ... manual or ACE.

I guess the next and last step is to delete everything and install the FSX files in a custom location.

Any other ideas?

*** Update

Removed and reinstalled FSX into Custom File.
Also performed all above and currently have it going fine after the double aircraft selection (If I do it on the free flight screen It installs the covers and will not allow you to remove them).

Also go the repaints to work. Windows7 is killing me.

Mark, thanks for the help.

OUCH! Then you don't want to try Windows 8! That's giving me a headache! Grin
