A few Questions

I have just bought the all in one package of this machine. I've had my eye on her for a while. Just done my usual load up and play around to get a feel for her and I've already got a few issues.

My flight deck windows are open and I cannot get them to close. It seems like I cannot work any of my instruments in the vc, such as heading bugs etc. Also the control yoke/wheel/column is missing. I hit the icon for it, nothing.  Am I missing something here? I know this is one of the older packages, but surely with all the awards it has it must be a fault on my end. There are hundreds of posts here and I don't have the time to go through all the things yet. Please point me in the right direction.

Lee, try doing a repair using the install application first. Then see how it goes. It may be worthwhile assigning CTL+R to in your FSX keyboard assignments to Aircraft Reload, so when you first start up the C-130 wait until it stabilises then reload the aircraft and see if that fixes the problems.

Like CoastalDriver says, do a reinstall. Make sure to install it using "Run as administrator" if your OS is Vista/Win7/Win8! Use the "Repair" option when given the choice of "Repair" or "Remove".

The Yoke is a 2D panel that should pop up when you press the Yoke icon on the SimIcon panel. I never use it myself. The 3D yoke in the VC should always be visible, you can hide/show it using the SimIcon button.

If what you are referring to, is what I think it is, then it's the radar screen. Press SHIFT+8, turn the knob to TCAS and it will fir up. I don't use the other modes on the radar, just the TCAS mode. Cheesy

Depending on if you use the CLASSIC gauges, or the EICAS gauges (settings can be changed in the C-130 ACE), it is either on top of the Glareshield, or (as in your case) the center of the main panels.

Thanks Mark, yes it was the box ontop of the glareshield. Still playing with various options. I have to admit I'm impressed. But then I've been happy with all my CS aircraft. of which I have most.
