CS 767 FMC/Virtual Cockpit Issues

Something strange is going on in my 767's Virtual Cockpit.  Each time I load FSX (no service pack) and start my flight on a runway, my APU will not start, but somehow the engines are functional enough to take off with F4 and a mouse yoke.  Also, my heading display and FMC are just blank grey panels, even in the 2D Cockpit.  I would like to be able to use my 767 to its full potential, so please help!

Two things.

1) You say that your FSX has NO service pack, yet the Minimum System requirements for the Captain Sim 767 state that FSX SP2 or FSX Acceleration are required or it won't work properly!

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

   - PC with 1.5 GHz equivalent or higher processor
   - 256 MB of system RAM
   - 64 MB DirectX 9 compatible video card
   - 500 Mb of free space on the MS FS hard drive
   - Microsoft® Windows® XP SP2 or Vista
   - Microsoft® Flight Simulator X SP2 or Flight Simulator X Acceleration.
   - Internet access (for installation/ re-installation)

Please note, we are unable to support technical issues appeared on systems that do not conform to the minimum system requirements.

2) If you do not have SP2 for FSX or Acceleration installed, then Captain Sim are unable to help with technical difficulties. Neither can any of the forum members.

I recommend that you install either FSX SP2 or FSX Acceleration and see if you are still having problems. If you are, we can then try to help you get them sorted out. Wink

Thanks! Just got the SP1 and SP2.  Not only did I fix it, but it works 10 times smoother!  Cheesy

New problem.  I'm not sure how to start the APU or engines.  When I start a flight on the runway, I hear the engines running, but my APU won't start when I turn the switch to START, then ON.  I see it flash FAULT and RUN, but hear no APU sound.  Later, I try to open the bleed air and valves and set the engines to Ground, but the switch won't turn to ground.  Is this a fuel issue?

If, when the CS767 first loads into FSX, you see 000 displayed on the IAS/MACH Indicator and 00000 is displayed on the Altitude Indicator (see attached image), this usually means it has not loaded correctly. Reload the ALT > A > Enter > Enter and they should look right, then the switches on the OH panel should be working correctly. I have assigned a keyboard command (CTRL+SHIFT+R) to Aircraft (reload).

Shift+7.

Or SHIFT+2 > Click on CDU icon.

Ahhh thank you. I was looking in Volume 5 for the FMC but I see now is in volume 1. Thank you again.

Good Day

Last Friday I purchased a copy of B767 + Freighter exp pack.

In between our electricity being switched off I had a quick glance into the model.

The one thing I noticed on the FMC is that the black "FMC-button" does not function.

Anyone else experienced this problem?

Regards

Richard

I have FSX steam edition and have downloaded the 767-300 base pack. Initially the ailerons, elevator, PFD, MFD and EICAS didn't work. I turned off firewall and reinstalled. Now all but PFD and MFD work. Steam edition of FSX apparently don't need SP1 or SP2 so I want to know how to get this working ASAP thanks.
