STAR and RWY waypoints not inserted into FMC! (Read 2687 times)

	On a flight from KMCO to KMIA I selected the HILEY2 approach and runway 12. Unfortunately after activation there were no waypoints inserted and I had to manually add them. The FMC showed both selections as <ACT>. What did I do wrong? Thanks! Simboy

	Quote: What did I do wrong? Nothing. There is a bug with the FMC in regards to STAR and TRANS entries on many arrivals. Try the following to see if it gives you the waypoints and constraints. After selecting the RWY STAR and TRANS and the waypoints are not showing up in the LEGS page, go back to the ARR/DEP pages and select the runway ONLY, not the ILS## or RNAV## etc., just the runway ##. For example: I select ILS34L, then the TRANS then the STAR (and a TRANS if needed), but no waypoints are displayed, I just go back and select 34L. The STAR and TRANS still have the <SEL> beside them, so all the waypoints and constraints show up. Hope this helps.

	Thanks Mark for your help! Unfortunately I can't get your fix to work for me entirely on this particular flight plan. I tried selecting just the runway but there were no waypoints other than CF. When I select the ILS and the transition the waypoints show up OK. No matter how I select the STAR, waypoints never show up. Its funny because I can type them in with no problem. I have been able to get the full route selected in the FMC on other flight plans so I guess this "bug" is hit or miss. I will keep trying anyway and maybe figure it out. Thanks! simboy

	I'm guessing that the navdata from Navigraph is incomplete and broken (as usual) and somehow the FMC doesnt recognize procedures with some kinf of errors in them. That said the HILEY3 arrival is now the current HILEY arrival

	I tried a flight using the HILEY3 arrival for RWY12 and it worked fine for me. I doub there would be much (if any) difference between HILEY2 and HILEY3. In Australia, quite a lot the SIDs and STARs have increased by one, i.e. DOSEL7 is now DOSEL8, but the waypoints are exactly the same and have the same constraints.
