Hi everyone, so, I just bought CS Weather Radar, I follow the intructions but when I start (in FSX) the Weather Radar, I've a black screen.

I run WXR Editor and FSX as administrator,
Do you have a solution for me, or, can you help me ?

P.S : Sorry for my english, I'm French :^p

Because the screen is black, I think that the Online Activation failed. I think you will need to do a reinstall as explained in KB#685.
Check-in to Your Profile > Product > Customer Support > Search KB or Submit New Ticket. Do a search for 685.

Along with following KB #685, I recommend you re-download the installer (in case it is corrupt) and possibly do an Offline Activation (just follow the instructions when selecting it). That should get it working.

What aircraft are you adding it to? If I have the aircraft, I can try it myself and see if it works for me. Then we might be able to troubleshoot your problem.

When you first started an aircraft in FSX that has the CS Weather Radar added, did you click on RUN then YES in the Security Warning for the WXR.DLL so that it is "Trusted"?

This is how it looks in TEST Mode when it is trusted:

And this is how it looks in TEST Mode when it is NOT trusted:

I'm wondering if you are getting a blank screen because the WXR is not "Trusted".

If FSX is in the default location of C:\Program files (or C:\Program Files (x86)) and you are using Vista or Windows 7, when adding the WXR to an aircraft, you might need to run WXR Editor.exe as an administrator. Do this by going to START > All Programs > Captain Sim > CS Weather Radar THEN right mouse click on the WXR Editor and select Run as administrator. Then add or remove the WXR from aircraft.

Do you have any other CS product installed on your PC?

If not, and if you don't use "Acceleration for FSX", make sure that you have installed both FS Service Pack (SP1 and SP2). They are essential and indispensable part of the minimum requirements to be able to use CS products properly.

You must install SP1 before installing SP2.

Have you powered on the radar? Does the aircraft have energy when the radar is powered on?

Hello! I've installed CSWR, entered the editor, added the new panel to different aircrafts, but when I opened FS X it never appeared the pop up window to verify the publisher. In the view section I don't have the CS panel. Also it never asked me for any serial number.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are using Vista/Win7 (32bit & 64bit), you need to install the CS Weather Radar as an administrator - right click on the csr001_1100.exe and select "Run as administrator". You might need to run the WXR Editor as an administrator too (use the same method as for the installer).

I have Win 8, but haven't installed it to test all Captain Sim's FSX products on yet, but to install the Weather Radar and to use of the WXR Editor, the same rule might also apply to them as it does in Vista/Win7.

Hope this helps

I'll soon be joining the CSWR group.  I purchase the C-130 Package and the WR during the Christmas sale.

I've been upgrading computers (FSX and Client), and wanted to get that out of the way before adding new programs/features.

The CS WXR is working perfectly fine in Windows 8.1 for me.

1. Windows 8.1 is installed on my F: drive/partition on my dual boot system, with Windows 7 on the C: drive/partition.
2. FSX is installed on the root drive, F:\Flight Simulator X, NOT in the F:\Program Files or F:\Program Files (x86) folders, which is the default location to install FSX.
3. I installed the CS WXR by right clicking on the installer (csr001_1100.exe) and selecting *Run as administrator (see image below).
4. I have set the WXR Editor to *Run this program as an administrator (Right Click on the WXR Editor shortcut >  Properties > Compatibility Tab > Settings > checkmark the box beside Run this program as an administrator), so that it can make all the changes it needs to when adding it to an aircraft.

* This is very important if FSX is installed in its default location of F:\Program Files or F:\Program Files (x86)!
