Very nice!

Out of curiosity, why the are the engines on one side painted? Is that a part of the paint scheme, or is that you haven't done the other side yet?

What exactly do you mean with "on one side painted"?
I found out when developing the chrome effect, that in general, when there is much reflection, the right side (in flight direction) looks brighter and more shiny/glossy. Even if you turn the aircraft in/out of the sunlight. Could that be what you mean? Would it be possible to make a screenshot? Maybe I made a mistake somewhere.

Thanks

In this picture:

the engines do not look like they have white paint on them. They look grey.

In this picture:

you can clearly see the white paint on the engines.

So it looks like the left engines have white paint on them, while the right engines do not. Hope you understand what I mean now.

Ahhh Smiley You mean the white forward cowlings. The answer in this case is very easy. The first picture with the darker cowlings was an earlier production shot, while the image with the cowlings in brighter white display the final result. I only used the first image to demonstrate the chrome effect, as it always appears "nicer" at the right aircraft side, no idea why...

Ahhh. An early image. That makes sense.

It would be interesting to find out why the chrome looks better from the right side. I didn't know that.

Did you also see that on your computer? The surfaces on the right side look much more "flat" and shiny than on the left side. With the BWIA livery you can notice that very good when you go in slew mode and then turn the aircraft around it's vertical axis into different positions to the sunlight. Maybe it's an FSX issue, maybe CS programming issue or I made a mistake, but I checked this several times and from my side, everything is done accurate...

I haven't had a good look to check that out yet. I didn't even know about it until you mentioned it in your reply above. Grin

707 Captain,
This repaint is great once more. I've installed all of them you've done. Thanks so much. They're much appreciated.
Have you ever considered doing 727 repaints? Especially with the 727-100 , the choices are rather limited at the moment.

Thanks-Brian

707Captain, you rock man, there's some really good stuff here. Would be great to see you have a go at South African Airways circa late 1960's those birds had a lotta chrome.
