I don't really know if anybody from team shows any interest to fix that sound cracking problem. It's been long time since anybody announce something regarding sound . From my experience I stopped flying c 130 . so from my point of view if market works this way { get the sale happening and after not our problem surely you win } ,but if there is some kind of support for customers who spend money and then patiently waited I think it's time to get it fix. What kind of cracking are you talking about? I made modifications to the C-130 sounds, but I can't post link yet.

I bought a sound set for the C-130 X-Perience, but I keep forgetting to install it. When I first installed the 3rd party sound pack, it was a nice improvement to the C-130. The sound does do some funny things every now and then, but overall it sounds fine to me.

This was the one that I bought: Turboprop Simulations - Lockheed C-130 Hercules Sound Pack FSX.

Even though you can't add the URL coding to you links, you can still paste them in you post/reply can't you? If you can, we can copy it and paste it into a new browser window. Wink

Hope this works. There is File->Download. Backup your sound.cfg file and copy all files from zip to ..\CS_C130\sound folder. Only thing that is overwritten is sound.cfg, engine sound files use different names than default sound files.

Any feedback is welcome, my experience on C-130 sounds are limited to YT videos.

I had no trouble copying and pasting the link. I did need to log in to Google to get access to the file though. But once that was done I was also able to download it. I'll try it out later.

No doubt payware sound set should at least be better than my hasty fix.

My modifications do not address start-up and shutdown sounds. Propeller sounds will most likely continue after shutdown for quite a long time, but will cut down eventually. Noticed some sound issues on quick change between outside to cockpit views, but mute/unmute resets sounds. Might address start-up/shutdown sometimes in future, my objective was just to have more stable running engine sounds.
