Please note - systems debug mode has been removed. Feel free to select any livery or aircraft variation, to reload the 777, to select/save another flight.

1) The colours of the artificial horizon don't look realistic, needs deeper colouring.

At least you're getting waypoints, my ND doesn't show anything. I guess it's time to remove the plane and reinstall. *sigh*.

My personal list for 0.3:

1. Windspeed, Groundspeed and TS displayed in the ND.

2. Correct displayed FD in the PD.

3. Fully functional ND in general with ARPT, STA,etc... displayed AND of course correct magenta line if i do changes in the FMC. In addition the used RWY's.

Nevertheless great work so far, Captain Sim !  Smiley

No, I'm flying Australia and not limiting myself to the flight requested by CS.

Not seeing any major loading or corruption issues as discussed in another thread.

Edit: I use any Aircraft Texture I want.

Hello Captain Sim,

Regarding the 777's ND, after activating and executing a route in the FMC, no purple route appears; no CRS/DME appears; nothing. The ND is completely blank save the heading. I am sure I have used the CDU correctly, however I see no magenta route on the ND.

-Cheers

Have you set the ND Mode Selector knob to MAP? Mine is always set to APP when the 777 is loaded into FSX.

Problem with the ECL: Since the arrow keys (albeit it ALT) are used to move the magenta marker, and the arrow keys are also used to move the viewpoint with the EZDok Camera, using the ECL keeps moving my viewpoint. Is there a way to change the key mapping?

Well, most keys are used by some applications. What keys you'd like to see?

(Note: I did solve the problem by creating a view right above the ECL which can't be moved, so I can use the ECL, but it's a hassle to perform the task in my pilot view, then go to the ECL view and check it off.)

Not saying you should fly else where,
But I've been flying Out of KLAX on a few flights with no problems,
I haven't switched to another Paint since seeing a post about it may cause funny things.

I'll place this post here for want of a better thread to put it:

IMHO CS had known most EVERY problem we have submitted thus far. One doesn't need to be a 'brain surgeon' to see them. There are some minor co-ordinate problems with active buttons which I'm concentrating on at the moment, no big deal!

OK, the whole thing is a marketing ploy who knows, I'm enjoying it and working my own way through some issues, gives we old retired relics something to do. My only request here is:

Loose the finger prints off the glass! The days of tapping gauges to see if they are correct have long gone. Wink

Hi Captain Sim, all,

First of all, I like this a lot and despite being the 0.X, I was able to successfully fly IFR and perform an ILS landing. Thank you Cool

What I observed during my first flight from Cold to Dark cockpit condition:

1) Like reported by some, I also did not show the magenta route line on the ND after configuring the FMC and changing the knob to Map or Nav. However, after changing the EFIS distance knob to 640 the route line showed in the bottom of the ND.

2) ND distance display is half the EFIS distance using the knob. Eg, if I change the EFIS to 40, ND shows 20, EFIS to 640, ND shows 320.

3) I tried an ILS landing. The airplane itself caught the glideslope and followed it smoothly down to the runway so that was very cool Smiley But I did not see the ILS needle on the ND after changing the EFIS knob to APR mode. I had to eyeball before hitting the APR switch on the MCP, at which point the aircraft reacted immediately. I hope this is a user problem (me!) so that I can fly and enjoy this beast and do an ILS landing under poorer visibility conditions. If this is a known bug, then in the meantime I guess I can fall back on the 2D default Garmin GPS.

Cheers

If I reload a flight, NONE of my displays work, even with all the systems on and engines running. And, sure enough, as reported by all you guys, there are no indications on my PFD (incl. FLT DIR, LNAV/VNAV, and speed and altitude indications on the tapes) and, last but not the least, my ND shows only some waypoints.

Anyway, Captain Sim have done a really nice job till now, keep up the good work!  Smiley

Do you see these items in the DONE list?

I posted a topic about a possible solution: http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1339226175. This might help you for the beginning of the route. But I did a flight from YMML (Melbourne) to YPDN (Darwin) and when I was about 400nm from Darwin, the route disappeared from the ND and nothing I did would get it back. Sad

This might be one of the obvious ones...

on the fuel page under total fuel it reads

LBS X 100

should be 1000 I believe.

On the sane display as the one mentioned by dbhally, is the following:

L MAI - should be L MAIN
R MAI - should be R MAIN
CENTE - should be CENTER

Also quite obvious. Wink

I taxied over to the gate in the CS 777 default flight and did a shut down...not sure if this is a known issue.

I hope the screen shot will show...that the apu and battery are off but the displays are all still powered.

I never noticed it in v0.2 only v0.201. But I will admit that it could have been because I never sat at the gate long enough for it to happen in v0.2, until now. Smiley

I agree...very obvious but not on the list...

3. Please do not report the following known issues as we are aware and working on them:

- No WX radar.
- No 2D radio panel.
- No 2D CDU panel.
- No FMC input and messages on EICAS, PFD.
- No F/D indication on PFD.
- No FMC input on ND except the route.
- Some systems are not tied into the ECL.
- Some doors are not tied into MFD indication.
- Some 2D panels are b/w drafts.
- No COMM mode of MFD.

there is a thin line between too much info and not enough...I say report em' if it hasn't been previously noted.

I am on a long flight from EGLL to KBWI.  At cruise, the ND shows the plane well right of the course line.  Even at the 320 Mile range view.  The FMC shows 0.0 XTE, and my external tracker shows the plane right on the course line between two waypoints.

I was flying from KSEA to KLAX and after entering my star- SEAVU2, and hitting execute, the approach waypoints did not show up on the ND. The route waypoints did. However, the aircraft flew the approach, but I was completely blind as there was no information on the ND whatsoever. Also no way to tell if LOC or APP mode is engaged on PFD.

Has anyone tried the ISG PFD to see if it works with the system installed in the CS777. I'm going to try it to day and report the results.

Okay,I tried to find the PFD in the panel to swap it out with another PFD and it seems to be  a way bit over my head. If anyone has tried and  successfully pulled that off could you share that here?

With L-MFD selected on the MFD Controller, i switched to the FUEL page from the NAV Page and then back to NAV. After this the NAV display wasn't being manipulated by changing the variables on the Captains EFIS controller. However, the FO EFIS Controller was changing NAV parameters on both the Captains and FOs displays.  Cycling the MFD from NAV to FUEL and back again restored control to the Captains EFIS Controller.

Try setting the LEFT Inboard Display Selector Switch to MFD, the use the Display Select Panel (DSP on the SimIcon panel), make sure it is set to change the LEFT display and press the NAV button. If nothing happens, press the NAV button again. If their is no flight plan displaying, then the bug has already struck. I usually lose the route at about the 4/5 point of the flight plan I am currently flying.

Inboard EICAS Display

When setting either left or right MFD to EICAS, the text items such as N2, FF, Oil Press, Vibration do not appear on the MFD like they do on the center display.

It is tied in with the Captains ND range switch. It will be interesting to see if it that's how it will stay.

I also have the same problem. No working display, no working range setting. I'll say it was working when I first started up, but then could not start engine after pushing back, reset AC, could start engine, now display is out. Currnetly flying from EGLL to KLAX, with only FMC, for position, and Nav

First of all since this is my first post just want to say a big thankyou to CS for releasing the 777 under the CIP, I am quite enjoying the bird at the moment especially now I can do those long hauls with the fuel issue being fixed.

My one questiion and I don't know if this was left out since I haven't seen anything about it, my ND displays my planned flight route but does NOT show the SIDS and STARS.  I don understand a lot of the other stuff hasnt been implemented yet, is this also true of the SIDS/STARS on the ND despite the FMC showing them properly?

Everything else is working just as expected (from my reading these forums anyway).

SIDS show for me but STAR is sometimes missing on ND even through programmed in FMC properly. Approaches usually show.

1. The ONLY proper way to get started with the 0.2 is load the "777-200 Cleared for takeoff (KSEA)" flight. After loading this flight check and set all systems ON then go.

2. In the 0.2 all systems are in debug mode, so the aircraft systems reboot (closing FSX, selecting another LIVERY or aircraft, reloading the 777, selecting another flight) takes extra time. Also the systems glitch is possible after the systems reboot (you loose gears, all systems and controls). So if you wish flying the 777 please stay in the 777, one livery.

90% of the reported issues has been caused the systems reboot glitch from closing FSX, selecting another LIVERY or aircraft, reloading the 777, selecting another flight.
Hint: DO NOT select another LIVERY or aircraft, DO NOT reload the 777, DO NOT select another flight.

Obviously we are well aware of the issue and working on it. But till further notice consider the following as a limitation:
"777-200 Cleared for takeoff (KSEA)" flight ONLY.
DO NOT select another LIVERY or aircraft,
DO NOT reload the 777,
DO NOT select another flight.

I have purchased the CS777 today and installed it with the new patch release 0.4 but no improvement on the gear problem I am not able to retract the gear by pressing G usually nor the button on my joystick works...

over all the flight interior and sound and textures are great but unfortunately some factions do not work properly as should be.

I hope a patch is released soon so at least the gear works fine at least, I feel that fuel indicator and wind are not yet fixed and need more tune in.

rest this bird is great appreciate to have a quick fix to all of those issues ASAP please

The landing gear is working OK for me, but I'm losing the route from the ND just a short ways into the last two flights. The plane is following the route as per looking at FSX's map, but from the virtual cockpit, you're flying blind.

I don't think that it is fully implemented yet, so I'm sure that as we get closer to v1.0 it will start working correctly. Wink

EzDock and ECL.

Right now, Ezdock use the arrow key to move you around the cockpit/aircraft.

Can CS change or offer the possibility to edit the keys for the ECL ? I don't want to use Arrow key for it.

I can't speak for the GE powered version, but the PW powered trip should have an EPR gauge.

EDIT - After some additional research and talking with a friend who is the 777 Fleet Captain at United this is what I found:

The GE90 powered 777's do not have an EPR gauge, however the PW and RR powered 777's do have an EPR gauge.

If the RR engine has a 3 spool design like the RR engines on the 757/767 and therefore will need to have the N3 gauge as well, although I believe on the 777 it is on the lower engine display.

Hopefully this will be implemented.

The PFD, NFD and Eicas they are not working to normal standard for example there is no autopilot (LNAV/VNAV/Speed), flight director or any real navigation indications on neither the PFD or NDv such as (ARPT, WPT, TERR, TRAFC) etc. Also on the Eicas there is no indication of gear up, seat belt / smoking sign nor any emergency indications during an emergency or shut down. The electronic check-list does not work properly. I can not go through the check-list.  Also another big problem is there is no EFIS control. None of the gauges work. you go through each setting and nothing happens to the ND Undecided. But the most noticable is no button or dials work in the VC and the gear does not work!

Please FIX Smiley

THIS IS POST V 0.6

I noticed that the display brightnesses are all the way down according to the knobs, but they are actually all the way up according to this displays. If the displays could be at the lowest brightness upon load up, that would be nice. If I turn the knobs, it works as expected though.

Thanks,

Well, actually for me the ILS does not work at all on the Primary Flight Display. I can land only as visal approach, no ILS no VOR DME.

I think it will be implemented in some of the later updates.

Good to see (SOME) changes in the flight-deck. But take note still no real autopilot indications. Also the ND doesn't really do anything apart from show heading, ground speed and True airspeed. Still no EFIS control or indications on the ND.
The EICAS also doesn't indicate anything apart from basic instruments.   Huh Cry
Another big issue is that pretty much not buttons or nobs work. Yes they are interactive but overall do nothing. (Example: You switch the landing lights on in the VC and nothing happens. No exterior lighting Angry )

So please get it done. I still cant do flights with this beautiful Aircraft  Sad

after 0.6 i have still not noticed a solid pink line on the MFD when i put the Flight route in and switch it to MAP mode like normal. its a while line and it messed up. Also there is nothing on the MFD at all (WPT,WXR,APT,DATA ETC.) and i even started the tutorial flight and still get nothing.

The pink line is supposed to be the Flight Director on the PFD (the one on the left which shows you the speed, attitude and altitude). To turn that on, simply flick the FD switch on the MCP. Also, the messed up white line in the MFD might be a stuffed up flight plan. Make sure you are inserting the PROPER waypoints into the FMC. Some waypoints have the same name so you will need to check. WXR,APT,DATA have not been added yet since this is only a beta version 0.6. They will all have been added by the time work finishes at 1.0

Grin

Touche.

But back to the 777... I have also noticed the issue with the engines displaying like they are off. If I switch the orginaziton of the displays to where only one display shows the engine, it always shows the engine off on the single display. If I have the default formation where there are two screens showing engine status, the bottom one shows the engines off (Like in Mark's picture)

im seeing sort of the same thing but my magenta line isnt aligning with the correct heading of the aircraft so it shows as thow the aircraft is "drifting" along the line sideways.

+1 same here. At the moment flying Bangkok to Changi, almost South. Like flying backwards on the ND. ND is stuck in North up mode, not aligned with aircraft heading. Guess will have to fly some northerly routes for a while or learn to stand on me head  Smiley

Hello. My issue is no flight plan showing on the ND. I have version 07. I uninstalled the entire 777 and reinstalled with base pack 05, version 06, and 07 and still no flight plan.

I believe that the issue can best be described as even when in map mode, the aircraft symbol points north.

Ok i loaded the tutorial flight and did everything right and when i loaded the Flight plan into the FMC manually this is what i got. and this is at KATL (Hartsfield-Jackson international airport) and these waypoints are straight ahead and can intercept SLAWW by flying runway heading but the MFD is tilted literally 90 degrees and the plane follows the flight plan as if it is not tilted. but what i see on the MFD is a 90 degree turned MFD but the Auto Pilot flies the Flight Plan normally and goes to all the waypoints just the MFD looks different and wrong. this is the only bug left other than the EFB/ACL and the Gear not working in normal loaded flights. loved the Update though and this plane made big improvements and i can see the light at the end of the tunnel with this plane, hope 0.8 fixes these.

There is another issue with the ND
When you cross the pacific e.g KLAX-RJAA and you get there where you change from West to East, the ND doesn't display a continuing route, instead there is something like a turn.
Photo will follow.

So it seems as if the ND compass reading is correct, but the actual ND compass, that turns as the aircraft turns, is in a orientation that always has North/360 straight up onthe ND

That sums it up well. And the triangle symbol at the aircraft position always points up North/360.

At the moment I find it less disorienting to fly with the ND switched to Plan mode. The aircraft symbol here at least points along the route / flight path correctly.

It annoys me that this is the only bug left in the Plane, after this ND problem is fixed this plane can fly normal enough to do a flight. but they fixed the appearance of the ND but then they fixed it and tilted it 90 degrees, ugh  Angry and when will the ACE come out?

same thing annoys me there  Undecided. So happy that many stuff got fixed and after they fixed the ND the aicraft is ready to do a flight. But with a tilted ND there's no chance for me  Sad

I agree with you Eric.
Although the ND problem is awkward on your (and my) sense of direction, the 777 is still very capable of doing a long haul flight. I have done a few and it does them well.

Maybe it's just me, but I actually find it helps me to fly in PLAN mode as at least you can see the airplane symbol to help orient you to the route. Weird looking at it from various angles, but better than judging the MAP mode lol...

I hope this is the right place for this one. Wink

The radios are misbehaving.

On the VC 3D Radio Panel.
When scrolling through the numbers to change the fractional numbers of frequencies, it will do something like (this is when reducing the numbers)

132.700
132.725
132.700
132.675
132.650
132.625
132.600

So as you can see above, it goes up by .025 (.700 - .725 THEN goes starts to go down), so it takes six clicks to change it from .700 down to .600.

On the 2D Radio Panel.
It has similar problems as the VC 3D Radio Panel, except that the fractional numbers jump all over the place!
On the whole numbers, it will show 122 or 133, when in reality they are actually capturing 121 and 132, respectively.

Yeah I'm getting an issue with the frequencies too. I can't tell if the display matches the actual frequency. Right now I managed to get it to display 122.8, but I don't think I'm actually on that frequency as FS Inn on VATSIM isn't outputting my text in the unicom window. I have to manually select the unicom tab in FS Inn to type text there.

I'm currently on a short PHNL to KSAN flight and VATSIM LAX Center is on. This could be an issue with the wrong freq's displaying.

Ok, numbers jump around...but I just noticed that the 2D popup is + 1 MHz from the VC radio control but only a certain subset of the entire range I haven't bothered to figure out exact, but I did notice 118.xxx read 118.xx for both 2D and 3D. So I have the same as Markoz's issue and confirmed VC frequencies to be what's on FS Inn and VATSIM.

It's odd that this happened--it's a step backwards from previous versions. Is there any workaround? (or could a quick gauge fix be posted?)

My workaround is to fly in PLN mode...at least you can see your a/c's orientation in relation to the route since the aircraft symbol represents the direction of your aircraft. It's not that bad once you get use to it. I'm sure they're working on it.

I confirm that the 2D COMM Radio is +1.000 MHz compared with the 3D radios.

The freq that is actually 'active' is the one on the 3D readout.

Also the 2D radio Standby freq knob has a mind of its own! You don't know what to expect it'll do when you click on either '+' or'-'...

Hi @ all.
I don't know if it is mentioned above yet....
I don't see the marks in the speed-/altbar in the PFD, as well as the winddata in the ND and I can't set the BARO neither HPA nor IN. At all I simply have my PFD without any supplement informations (MCP,...)
Am I doing something wrong or is it just becaus it is not yet finished?
(For mor informations see picture attached)
I also have the "rotated-route-bug" on my ND so I use the PLAN instead of the MAP mode. Different but it works.

I have the same appearance of the PFD as 'MP1985'. And the same ND display - but in MAP mode the route is not rotated (it shows as 'Track Up'). If I switch the ND to PLAN mode, the route appears as 'North Up'.

Regarding the COMM1 radio, the Standby freq-selector is 'skittish' in BOTH 2D and 3D, which is at least rational. Wink

Pressing 'A' until you have the "CDU View" shows all the COMM radios. On the left side are two copies (why?) of COMM1, which are in sync with each other; on the right side are the COMM2 radio and the Transponder. The COMM2 radio (not usable in any version of FS that I have encountered) does not suffer from a 'skittish' Standby freq knob... But FS won't allow you to use it for communication with ATC (as far as I know), so it's just eye-candy!  Sad

I don't fly Vatsim as of yet,but I also have the same problem, I can't tune in the ATIS of airports, because the radio jumps all over the place, I can't choose the frequencies so I can find out the runways that are open. I have to guess. Cry

Question: Is there a click-spot to open the 'SimIcons' 2D panel? I can't find one and it would be simpler than pressing Shift-2...

Does anyone else have the indicator lights working when you press a button like fuel pumps or autopilot, lnav, vnav? Mine used to work, but has stopped. I have tried complete reinstall, but still the same!

This picture shows the two problems with the ND. The first is that the magenta line for the current waypoint flickers on and off--you can see in the picture that it has currently disappeared (it flickers a couple times a second). Also, note that the line proceeding directly from the aircraft does not point to the next waypoint, but rather is offset a few degrees. The problem persisted when the plane turned to the next waypoint--it's always offset a few degrees. Edit: The heading indication is also off. The rotation offset varies, but when my actual heading was 205 (according to FSX), the 777 displayed it as 202.

And by the way, when I loaded my saved flight, I was unable to operate the two ND's separately. The left controls (range and format) did not work, and the right controls controlled both ND's.

Try this.
Switch both ND's to MFD, the using the DSP, select the left ND and press the NAV button until you get the NAV view back, then do the same for the right ND.
This worked for me before (in earlier versions of the 777). I haven't seen the problem in v0.8 yet. Wink

I think the pointing off track line, and not directly from aircraft position to next waypoint, is due to a cross wind, so aircraft is pointed "yawed) towards the wind direction slightly.  You can check cross wind component in the "PROG" page 2 on the FMC. When I did this the aircraft attitude made sense

But I agree the triangle centre (aircraft position) is off the track.

I am only getting a 2 degree difference between FSX heading and heading shown on ND

At least the ND is now orientated properly, so no more standing on one's head to get orientated.

But if it were a crosswind, wouldn't the 777 heading and FSX heading be in agreement? There seems to be a problem with the heading indication, not the aircraft orientation.

The magenta course line is not being drawn down to the airplane, so it is hard to know what the route is from here to there. However, if you look to the left of the box at the top of the direction line it says TRK. That means track and represents the actual course of the plane over the ground. Other ND views show HDG. That is the heading of the airplane in the air. The difference between the two is caused by the crosswind component.

The white line from the nose of the airplane triangle always represents track (TRK). The small triangle drawn on the outside of the compass rose always represents heading (HDG).

Note also that when the AP heading bug is active (not yet modeled in CS), a small rectangle with an inverted triangle moves around the compass rose. It matches up with the heading triangle when the AP has stabilized on your heading.

I have not tested your theory, but it is possible that the TRK and HDG are not yet correctly modeled in relation to the map objects, since there are several parts of the ND that are not yet complete.

I cannot get the simcon or animation panels to show up. They just blink. Also the autopilot panel is black along with the eicas...this is really getting aggravating. It seems one thing gets fixed and another one is messed up. I can't even open the doors (except for the entry) or cargo doors to use GSX!!!!!!!!! Angry

Try reinstalling the 777 (using the repair option). Make sure if you use Vista/Win7, that you use the "Run as administrator" option on the installer too.

This is what I did.
I uninstalled v0.7
Checked to make sure everything was gone (deleted anything left behind)
Rebooted the computer
Installed v0.8
Rebooted the computer
Started FSX and selected the 777-200, pressed Fly Now. It worked fine.

Sometimes my Antivirus software (Avast Free) interferes with the installation file, so I need to disable the shields for a while so I can install without interference.

Markoz,
I did find that the uninstaller does not delete the entries in the FSX.cfg /trusted section. I bet I had 15 entries fir the CS777-200 panel. I deleted all of these and at least got the execute button on the FSC to work. Just a heads up to all who reinstall!!

Is anybody else able to navigate via VORs or get the ILS displays to work? Just trying to figure out if its something that I am doing wrong. If not, I'll just add a stinking HSI that has a glideslope as a popup.

The APP will lock onto the ILS in LOC or APP mode and fly the approach. Set the VOR and ILS with the NAVRAD button on the FMC. The problem is that neither the PFD nor the ND can display any of that information, so for the pilot it is flying with blind faith that the AP is on the right track.

Obviously the PFD and ND are the two primary instruments in a glass cockpit, so those will have to be working by 1.0.

Yes, you can modify the panel and put in the HSI of your choice.

Well, I am really disgusted with this situation....I cannot open any doors to be able to use GSX with this plane....I have reinstalled everything, cleared out all references to the CS777 everywhere. reinstalled 0.7 restarted and installed 0.8 restarted and NO DOOR CONTROLS!!

I reinstalled the aircraft 2 times  and STILL cannot use simcons or anamations. I land and can only open the left forward door.

Is anyone else having this aggravating situation???

Anddon't tell me that it is a work in progress, because the simcons and anamations worked brefore 0.8!!! Angry

I'm in love with the 777 and been flying it as of late lots. I can see me in it flying long haulers all the time!

Couple of issues I noted today...

Baro button and rotary dont work
No "bricks" or any V speeds data on ND (I know ND has been discussed lots before, just making the note)  Cool
TAT displays zeros
No waypoint data in PFD
Clock has a mind of its own  Shocked Sometimes shows 11:25 and then switches to just an 8 or a 5
No hyd displays on hyd screen

I love the plane! Keep up the great work guys!

Cheesy

@pride545. That's a strange problem with the animations. The animations are all working fine for me in v0.8. Do you think it might be a corrupt installer? You can always use the Extended Download Service to get a new link and download a new installer (csx772_0800.exe). That might help.

@sanchezsergio. Mine has the same things happening.

@Mark I did as you suggested and uninstalled it for the 5th time and still get the same results. I downloaded a new installer, also.

One more thing is that the following gages are all a black square:
1. Display Select
2. EFIS
3. MCP
4.Radio

The FMC shows up ok (is named CDU, but should be FMS)
The EFB also is ok.

Would you do me a favor and compare my panel config with yours and see if they are the same? I would appreciate it.

MODERATOR: Please do not post your configs in the topic directly, they are too long and complicate reading. Thank you for understanding.

By the way thanks for all the help you give me and others here on the forum!

Hi Moe.

I took a look at the contents from the panel.cfg and it looks fine to me.

Calling it the CDU is correct because it is a Control Display Unit. The CDU is used to input data for the Flight Management System computer(s).

Quote:
From the cockpit, the FMS is normally controlled through a Control Display Unit (CDU) which incorporates a small screen and keyboard or touchscreen.

First glance tells me this is not the panel.cfg file from V0.8

THE RADIO [Window08] gauge has been commented out!

Edit: Can't tell for sure but it's the panel.cfg file for one of the releases between V0.201 and V0.6 inclusive. In saying that you shouldn't be seeing blanks. Other than the 2D Radio being added at V0.7 no changes have been made to the configuration of the other 3 items.

It appears there is a problem with the gauge folders either corrupt or missing!

Good catch Bruce. I was concentrating more on the VCockpit entries, than I was the 2D Panel entries so I missed that one. Sad

Looks like he has listed V0.6. Been searching through some of the old configurations I kept, don't have em all, unfortunately.

@Bruce. Yes it looks that way..

@Moe. Uninstall the 777. Make sure that the CS_B777-200ER_GE, CS_B777-200ER_PW and CS_B777-200LR have been removed from the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes folder, if they haven't delete them.
Next. Go to the FSX\Captain_Sim folder and delete the 777 folder.
Now install the 777  making sure to use the csx772_0800.exe file. If you are using Vista/Win7, make sure you install it using "Run as administrator".
See how that goes. Bruce is right though, it does look like your 777 is an earlier version (v0.6) of the 777 instead of v0.8

@Moe,

Can I just add to Marks suggestions in that you make sure to clean out your Temp. Folder in the:
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp directory then run 'CrapCleaner' or similar to clean up the registry before a fresh install.

@Mark.  I must have gotten the panel configs mixed. I was looking at the older and comparing them. Here is the real one.

MODERATOR: Please do not post your configs in the topic directly, they are too long and complicate reading. Thank you for understanding.

I did everything you suggested and have the same results. I even deleted the gage entries in the fsx.cfg. Installed as admin, cleaned the registry before install. I cleaned out everything related to the CS777 before install! Same thing, when I click on simcons or anamations a black box just blinks and goes off! I can't think od anything else to try! Embarrassed

Moe.

Are you installing v0.7 THEN v0.8 (over the top of v0.7)? You sure make it sound as if you are. And if you are, you should not be doing it that way. If v0.7 is installed, uninstall it, then install v0.8 as a clean install. Follow the instructions shown on this page HERE.

I got it from the part of your original post that I quoted: reinstalled 0.7 restarted and installed 0.8 restarted and NO DOOR CONTROLS!!. So I just wanted to be sure that you were not doing that. If you are n't doing that, it's another thing eliminated as the cause of the problem.

I guess you meant uninstalled 0.7 restarted and installed 0.8 restarted and NO DOOR CONTROLS!! Wink

I can open the doors and everything...yipeeee! Grin

I knew it was something with my computer, but didn't know what.

I have made a post about this before, but the brightness of the displays is set at 0 (Fully off/dark), yet appear at 100% brightness. Is there something that might be able to be done to possibly lower the starting brightness, and make the knobs show that brightness accordingly?

Thanks,
Tom

I was playing around with the various systems displays (the panel right of the autopilot stack). In flight, when I have the flight controls page opened, and extend the spoilers, the 2 inner spoilers of both sides of the wings show extended on the display, although they are really not, and should not be. Other then that, I have not found any issues with the different displays as of yet.

I was testing out the new improvements in the ND and it is certainly a lot better! The only major thing that I've noticed so far is that the runway approach line varies from the real thing. I can be lined up with the runway, but the ND displays it as being a few miles to the left or right (on MAP mode). And then the runway shifts over once I get closer to the airport. Very strange and misleading. I guess I'll still have to trust my visual approach for now.

Hmmm, that is interesting. I did a little more testing, and the STAT page on the display also appears non-functional, not relaying back information. Maybe we need to compile a list of all the bugs for every section.

When i Depart i still see the Dashed line of the Departure Airport when i am well away from the airport. This is yet another problem with the NAV display even though it did make improvements.

I have not tested the indicator but the inner spoilers should deploy up to 15 degrees in flight for the speed brake.

Lots of nice improvements with the ND in .9. However, here are some bugs on the ND from my first flight:

1. Digits of GS, TAS, wind, VORs are touching each other. They should be tight, but not that tight.
2. HDG degrees are way off in APP and VOR mode.
3. MAP mode still has the TRK vs HDG reverse error.
4. Glideslope indicator is reversed.
5. When changing the CRS in the NAVRAD it is not turning the compass in the VOR mode of the ND.

Still testing . . .

Okay Ben, thanks for that clarification. There might be some tweaking that has to be done with that system then.

I have also noticed on the Flight Control Display page that it can flicker, the grey portion can disappear for a few seconds at times, with the blue outline remaining. Anyone else see this?

It is pink for me, so you might have an issue with the install. If you are running Windows 7, I recommend reinstalling it as an administrator (Right click the file, Run as administrator). Also try loading the default C172 or Trike, then selecting the 777 once it loads up.

We can work from there.

Did you click "Activate" and then "Excecute" on the FMC? I believe the blue line is showing what the route is before it is activiated

I have the following issues:
- MFD not working. The runway and the first leg of the flightplan shows but it doesn't follow the flightplan. When changing the direction, no changes are shown on the display.  Then the first leg starts flickering when you are past it. The autopilot seems to work fine.
- Trim doesn't show

I'm not sure whether these issues are known. They haven't been mentioned yet as of 0.9.

The PFD is very rudimentary. There are no indicators like take-off speeds etc.
