Yes it is.

Note. You've double posted the question. Open the second one (at the top of this page (Page 12)) and delete it. Wink

Just loaded 1.4 as instructed (removed all traces of 1.3>restart>load 1.4>restart), and none of the buttons on the overhead can be clicked. Likewise, the MCP digits do not light up (but the values can be changed as reflect in the PFD). Also, none of the sub windows show up, they just appear as a black box. The simicons window only flashed briefly then disappears.

Sounds to me like it didn't install correctly. I just tested all the 777's, including the Expansion Models, and they all appear exactly like they should.

Try reinstalling without your Anti Virus running, select the repair option. Your Anti Virus shields might be blocking some gauges from installing.

Also. Check your fsx.cfg (type %AppData%\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.cfg into the Run Command and press OK, this will open the fsx.cfg) and see if you have the following lines listed in the [Trusted] section:

J:\Flight Simulator X\Captain_Sim\777\cs.sound.dll.kuqkazehreehhbozirinnrqqrzkrkatuwlqotize=1

Mark; no joy. I verified the lines were installed both where and how you indicated, tried both a repair and a complete removal and installation with anti-virus disabled, and even tried in safe mode. I even downloaded the installer again but I keep getting the same results. The aircraft appears to be fully functional otherwise.
Is there any way of determining which gauge(s) may be missing?
Its weird because I cannot even click on overhead panel buttons, but switches and knobs still work. But on the MCP, even though the buttons aren't lit (or the digits), I can manipulate those.
Very strange...
I did recently install the other 737NG... Any chance that has anything to do with it?

1. Did you install the 777 using "Run as administrator"? That might be the problem.
2. You could try running FSX as an Administrator - Right click on the shortcut and select "Run as administrator" to see if that helps. I always run FSX as administrator.

Is there any way of determining which gauge(s) may be missing?
The only way to determine if gauges are missing is to look though the manual and determine the gauge. Hard to explain, but it's like this..
Looking at the OH panel (page 10 in the csx777_manual2.pdf) you see this image in it:

http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/vv58/Markoz958/csx777_manual2_OH_panel_zpsea9...

There are circles with info in them, like O03 for the Electrical/APU Panel. There is a folder in the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B777-200ER_GE\panel folder named Captain_Sim.x777.O03 which is the gauge!

So if you can figure out which ones are not working by getting the gauge name from the manual, then checking to make sure the corresponding folder is actually there. If it's not, then that could be the problem.

Its weird because I cannot even click on overhead panel buttons, but switches and knobs still work. But on the MCP, even though the buttons aren't lit (or the digits), I can manipulate those.
The clickspots on the buttons/switches has changed a bit, I often need to move the mouse around to a bit "hit" the clickspot (I'm getting better at it the more I fly the CS777). Your problem sounds like the clickspots (or the gauges) are missing. Sad

I did recently install the other 737NG... Any chance that has anything to do with it?
I have the 737NG.... as well, and I don't have your problem, so I don't think it has anything to do with it.

Hey guys...this probably isn't the answer and I might run into some problems myself with this but...I just ran the repair option on 1.4...didn't uninstall anything and it seems to have worked fine. I definitely noticed the changes and after what I just read in the other thread sounds like it's good.

TechRep? if your still having problems maybe it's worth a shot. Install it back the way you had it with 1.3 and then use the repair option.

shot in the dark but good luck Smiley

All, thanks for your help. brief history:
I recently installed a new hard drive so I have a fresh copy of win 7 home prem. I was having issues on my fresh install of FSX with the L1011, which ended up being somehow related to the UIAutomationcroe.dll file. Anyway, as of two weeks ago, everything aircraft I had worked fine (including the L1011). Since then I have installed the Virtavia C-17, the huge F-14D FSX file from Dino... and that's it.
So on a hunch, I installed the 777 1.4 on the FSX on my old drive (which is slaved in) and it works. So that rules out the install.

I just tried loading the L1011 and the 767 and they are doing the same thing as the 777 now. random gauge textures have disappeared. It seems to only be on CS aircraft.

I'm going to bite the bullet on this one and just delete everything and reinstall FSX, then all of my aircraft again.

Well.. a repair install of FSX and Acceleration seemed to fix whatever it was.

False alarm...

Remain calm...

This was only a test...

Shouldn't the 777-300 Model have the CAM button on the display controller?

Also, the majority and if not all 777-300ERs have only 1 electronic standby instrument and not 3. I believe this is perhaps based on airline options but it would be nice to have a means of selecting either 3 or 1 standby instrument.

Hello, it's come to my suprise when I installed my 777-200 Base Package (FSX) that the default cockpit for the 747 VC is on my aircraft instead of the normally expected custom CaptainSim Virtual Cockpit. I was mostly purchasing this product for the sole purpose of having such a amazingly detailed cockpit and I also purchased the other 777-200. But anyways I
can't link a picture of what it looks like, basically when I go to the VC view mode of the 777-200 CaptainSim it's the 747 cockpit.

Admin if you want a picture PM me cause I can't post links here until 10 normal posts.

Thanks.

It sounds like you have installed the 777-200 Exterior Model, which preceded the 777 Captain (777-200) Base Pack.
You will need to purchase the upgrade to the Base Pack (10 Euro discount), which you will find here: http://www.captainsim.com/store/x777_discount.html
