Hi I just installed the 727 last night and tried the tutorial flight from KLAX and the issues I have is that I cannot get the plane to turn to intercept the VOR and it seems to pitch in an upwards angle until it seems to stall so how do you get it to turn? And I know that 250 knots is recommended under 10,000 feet but how do you control the speed, pitch angle and altitude?

Regards

I don't know your level of experience in flying or even simming for that matter. Before trying some fancy stuff why don't you just do some basic flying.

Try flying straight & level and holding altitude & heading. Then after you are comfortable, try a few turns left and right and learn how much back pressure is needed to hold altitude. A 30 degree bank turn takes a bit of back pressure to make up for the loss of lift in the turn. With a clean plane ( flaps and gear up ) at mid weight, fuel flow of 2,000 to 2,200 should give you between 230 and 250 knots.

Until you are able to hold altitude and speed and then make turns to a heading you are not ready to do anything else. This is just basic stuff any pilot needs so give it a try. With a bit of practice you will see how nice this plane is. Remember this is old school tin and needs a lot of love. Kiss

Hi Lou thank you for your reply I will take your advice on board and give it a try, in regards to my experience I have been simming for more than ten years but I have never tried flying a three engine jet before such as the 727,

flightsimmer1, choose departure from KLAX or other airport, i'll make video tomorrow. Cant make long vid with startup, but can shoot takeoff and SID up to altitude, where A\P takes control. will include VOR tracking.

I myself working on speed management on climb, it should climb fuel-efficiently. thats something to dig into.
