Loading Configuration

After loading a flight my 737-200 configuration is:
engines running, start levers 18%, battery master switch off, avionics master switch off
At first I have to switch the battery on to switch engine generators on the bus.

This seems to be a strange configuration. Are there any options to save configurations ?
