3rd Party Missiles?

Hi Folks,
It's been a while since I've been here and I seem to remember that there was a place to check out some of the freeware missiles and such that were offered for "Weapon for FSX" on this site.

Did I miss it on the Home page, or has it been pulled?
Thanks

Hi wingclip.

To access the mods, you need to check-in to Your Profile > Product > Get Free Liveries (the mods are listed s if they were free liveries).

Thank You Mark! Sorry it took so long to get back here. I have AOL and it thinks it's a good idea to 'protect me' from spammers without me asking and without allowing me to make the call.

So as far as AOL is concerned, Captain Sim and about 15 or 20 other flight sim websites I'm a member of, are all spammers. Hence, I don't get any notice when someone replies to my posts Undecided.

I know I can use a gmail account and have the gmail forward my emails to AOL but I can't begin to tell you what kind of mess gmail made of my AOL mail when I tried that Huh.

OK, so that was my FYI as to why I didn't get back here sooner. But I appreciate the info about the mods. But it looks like I'm going top have to find my purchase order info in order to proceed from there. I'm sure it's in one of my folders I have placed on an external hard drive Lips Sealed.
Thanks again!

That's okay wingclip. Security from spam is very important when using the internet. Besides that, I don't think that this forum is able to email you about someone replying to you post.

Yes Mark, but I'm speaking about the 'Noitifaction' option that is sent to your email address when someone replies to a post you've made.

I have that setting turned on here in Captain Sim but as  I said, AOL sees that as spam.

I just wanted to clear up what I meant.
Thanks

I have never seen the 'Notification' option on any of the Topics or Posts. So that is news to me. I've just spent some time before replying to you in this post, but I can't see anything about a 'Notification' option at all. Sad

OK, lol  Cheesy, I must not be referring to this properly because I KNOW that you know this website a heck of a lot better than I do.

So what I'm referring to is in the 'User CP' tab. There, in that section is 'Your Current Settings' and in there I have "Online/Offline Status": (mine is set to "online/offline") and "Notifications:" (mine is set to "Always Email").

That's what I meant. But apparently I was confusing you with what I had said OR, I misunderstood what you had said Tongue. I know it's no big deal, I'm just having a chuckle about it.

My settings in the UserCP are exactly the same as yours with regards to online/offline and notifications. Like this:

Online/Offline Status:     'Online/Offline'
Notifications:                 'Always Email'

The forum administrators/moderators have turned this OFF.
So regardless of your setting to receive an email, the Forum will never send you one (unless they turn this option ON). Wink

Ah! Well then, that's why I'm not getting any notifications from Capsim. You have to admit, the "Notifications: Always Email" would make it logical to believe that one would get them.

Many other websites do have that option working but still, I don't get those because of the same reason I've been stating about the AOL block.

But now I can at least know that they aren't the reason for not receiving Cap sim notices. But I swear Mark, if Capsim had that option going, AOL would have blocked it! Grin

Thanks for sticking with this and clearing that up. Smiley
