Boeing 737-200 PanAm (Finished!)
Apr 13th, 2012 at 1:05pm
Print Post
Okay, this one is almost finished. Spent another 3 hours with it just aligning stuff and smashing the table, but it's nearly done  Tongue

Now for some more table smashing while i adjust the middle section colours the best i can  Undecided

Should be released today later on, i still have some real life work to do also  Grin  On a side note, i might be doing the other variation as well, since the most problematic parts are there already... We'll see  Wink

Looks great! I am right with you on aligning the parts, it is a chore to say the least.  Especially the tail, I will need a shot of whisky and an aspirin before I tackle another reprint.

Well I tried it on the 737-100... not good... so I fixed it... not good enough either... Well it's ok from a distance... Nuno do you have the 737-100? Can you help?

By the way, repaints for the 737-100 are quite scarce these days... How come? What a pity... I like the baby jet better...

I would dearly love a Qantas livery for the 737-100, but I dare not ask because I have already created enough headaches for the re-painters, without adding any more because of the 737-100.

I too love the 737-100 too. It's a fun plane to fly on really short hops!

Hi Nuno:

I had picked up your PAA livery for 737-200. Excellent work. The PAA livery really looks good/cute on small aircraft, anyway...

I had a question:

I notice that there is a 5th fallback line in the texture file for some add-on liveries

"fallback.5=..\..\B737_800\texture"

which I didn't see in the original CS v1.0 liveries.

So, I was just wondering if it makes any difference at all to the [VC] textures...

Thanks for this repaint.

Yeah the A/C was painted before the final release, so that's the old cfg. Just use the new one and it'll work even if it doesn't really make any difference.

I am working on the TAP Air Portugal and Britannia repaints now, once these are finished, i can adapt the other ones to the -100. I don't pay much attention to the -100 as i prefer doing real ones even if i really like the -100.

My queue is endless, i hope Marcelo, David and the other repainters can help a bit  Grin

I'd love to see a South African cargo myself  Cool

Hi,
The CS737-200 Pan Am livery file that I have has an unusual file name (don't know why!) - 1334333786.zip
Let me know if you cannot find it online.
There's an interesting thread about the 737-200 and some CS732 liveries on page 5 of the following link, including giving credit to the painter of the poster:
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?62733-Who-has-the-Captain-S...
Also, there's a nice YouTube video about this aircraft and livery here, plus it contains some links within the description:
http://youtu.be/7_bL-hyKxzA
I hope that this helps!
If you are new to the 737, check out the 737 thread as there are a few fixes for various issues, but also do consider installing the absolutely brilliant v-one speed gauge as this makes a huge difference, IMHO.

Probably because you downloaded it from the Captain Sim free liveries! The ones stored on the Captain Sim website tend to just be a string of numbers, so I always rename them when downloading them to my computer. That way I know what they are. Cheesy Grin

Edit: I just looked up the Pan Am livery (by Nuno Pinto) in the Captain Sim 737 Free Liveries, and that's the name of the zip file, so you definitely got it from there. Wink
