You can only add it to two of the F-16 models (another company F-16A 9 and another company F-16AM Display) using the Loader, the rest won't work and you need to do it manually. If you give me some time, I will write up the instruction on how to add it to all the different AS F-16 models. The setups will be different depending on which of those ones panel they are aliased to.

This is the reason why:

[fltsim]
alias=another company F-16A 9\Panel

OR

[fltsim]
alias=another company F-16AM Display\Panel

Hi ivo.

Here is how I did it.

1) Add Weapon for FSX to the another company F-16A 9 and another company F-16AM Display.
2) Copy csweapon.xml from either of those two aircraft folders to ALL the rest of the F-16 folders.
3) Now. In those other F-16 folders, go to the Panel folders, backup the panel.cfg and then open them with Notepad.
4a) Change them from this:
     [fltsim]
     alias=another company F-16A 9\Panel

     to this:

     [fltsim]
     alias=another company F-16A 9\Panel.csweapon

OR

4b) Change them from this:

     [fltsim]
     alias=another company F-16AM Display\Panel

     to this:

     [fltsim]
     alias=another company F-16AM Display\Panel.csweapon

You should be good to go after doing that.

I have not tried to add the HUD in the AS F-16 VC yet. I'll shall give it a go, but not sure how I will go. There could be a way to do it in this Topic: USE WITH THIRD-PARTY AIRCRAFT - THE ONLY THREAD.

If it was you who emailed me for my help, I provided the answer in a return email. I'll add the info in here once I've returned to Windows 7 and my MS Outlook. My computer is configured in a dual boot system, but I haven't got everything installed in Windows 8 (which is the OS I'm using right now). Wink

OKAY. I said I would do it here, so here it is:

This is what my Panel.cfg looks like for the another company F-16A 9:

[Window Titles]
window00=main
Window01=Engine_state
Window02=Weapon Control Panel
Window03=HUD
Window04=HUD Glass

[Window00]
file=Panel_2D.bmp
size_mm=800, 600
position=5
BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0
visible=1
ident=MAIN_PANEL

[Window01]
size_mm=900, 250
windowsize_ratio=0.600
position=4
BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0
visible=1
ident=Engine_state

gauge00=Viper!Statem, 0, 0, 900, 250
gauge01=Viper!State1, 0, 0, 1, 1
gauge02=Viper!State2, 0, 0, 1, 1

[VIEWS]
VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=1.0
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 0.0

;--- Weapon ---

[Window02]
Background_color=0,0,0
no_luminous=1
size_mm=1024, 170
position=7
visible=0
window_size=1.000, 0.170
ident=10901
zorder=2
gauge00=CSWeapon_panel!CSWeapon_panel, 0, 0, 1024, 170

[Window03]
Background_color=0,0,0
no_luminous=1
size_mm=400, 400
position=4
child_3d=0
visible=0
window_size=0.585, 0.585
ident=10902
zorder=1
gauge00=CSWeapon!hud2d, 0, 0, 400, 400

[Window04]
file=HUD_Glass.bmp
size_mm=1024, 768
no_luminous=1
position=7
visible=0
window_size=1.0, 1.0
ident=10903
zorder=0
alpha_blend=0.35

;--- End Weapon ---

[Vcockpit01]
//file=F-16_1.bmp
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=512,512

pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$F-16_1

gauge00=HUD!HUD,           0,46,254,264

gauge02=VIPER!RADIO,     0,0,1,1
gauge03=VIPER!flaps_control,    0,0,1,1
gauge04=SCControl!CTRL,             0,0,1,1
gauge05=VIPER!AS_SB,                0,0,1,1
gauge06=MFD!LMFD,                    6,310,165,170
gauge07=MFD!RMFD,                   182,310,165,170
gauge08=VIPER!ex_light_control,   0,0,1,1
gauge09=VIPER!AS_Mastercaution, 0,0,1,1
gauge10=VIPER!Eng_smoke,         0,0,1,1

//Remove slashes when using shockwave lights
//gauge11=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

// REMOVE slashes only for Non Accel users !!
//gauge12=Viper!AS_AB,              0,0,1,1

// Only when customer has low frames
// gauge13=Viper!RMFD,               182,310,165,170

gauge14=ASC!MAIN, 0,0,10,10,0
gauge15=ASC_F16!ASCModuleF16, 0,0,1,1

[Default View]
X=0
Y=0
SIZE_X=8191
SIZE_Y=6143

The entry for the another company F-16AM Display would be the same. Just copy the following entries from the [Window Titles], like this:

[Window Titles]
window00=main
Window01=Engine_state
Window02=Weapon Control Panel
Window03=HUD
Window04=HUD Glass

And then add the three [WindowXX] entries for the Weapon for FSX. like this:

;--- Weapon ---

[Window02]
Background_color=0,0,0
no_luminous=1
size_mm=1024, 170
position=7
visible=0
window_size=1.000, 0.170
ident=10901
zorder=2
gauge00=CSWeapon_panel!CSWeapon_panel, 0, 0, 1024, 170

[Window03]
Background_color=0,0,0
no_luminous=1
size_mm=400, 400
position=4
child_3d=0
visible=0
window_size=0.585, 0.585
ident=10902
zorder=1
gauge00=CSWeapon!hud2d, 0, 0, 400, 400

[Window04]
file=HUD_Glass.bmp
size_mm=1024, 768
no_luminous=1
position=7
visible=0
window_size=1.0, 1.0
ident=10903
zorder=0
alpha_blend=0.35

;--- End Weapon ---

I'm sorry it took so long to get this done in here, but I took some strong medicine last night and went to bed after doing the reply above. I slept for a long time and was pretty busy doing other stuff, until now.

Hope this helps

I have been trying to do tis with my another company F16 jets however, it seems that the F-16 panels are all linked with the F-16C

[fltsim]
alias=another company F-16C Clean\Panel

I guess it would be the same process for the C version as well as the A9 and AM?

That's very strange. I just checked my panel folders (for the respective aircraft) and my F16C Clean panel folder doesn't have any gauges (other than the ASC.DLL). No other panel.cfg's point to it either. Maybe you're using an earlir version of the AS F-16. I bought it when it was already version 1.21.

The same method will apply to the F16C Clean panel.

Could this possibly be the same issue with my Real Air Spitfire? It has four or five variants but although all say "armed", only one has functions.
All the others have the .cfg in their directory folder.

It probably is. I don't have the RealAir Spitfire, so I can't be 100% sure. Undecided

I should have done this in my previous post. Embarrassed

An easy way to check, is to go to the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes folder and a see how many RealAir Spitfire (or however they are named) folders there are. Just check the panel.cfg of them all, to see if they are pointing to another RealAir Spitfire panel.

You are looking for the

[fltsim]
alias=\RealAir XXX\Panel

line in the panel.cfg

Don't forget that although the panel may be aliased, you still need to copy the csweapon.xml into each airplane folder or it still won't work. Wink
