Qantas Fictional B737-200 (Finished!)

Print Post
This one's for Mark, for all his invaluable help and companionship in this forum.

Thank you Mark, my gift to you, hope to have it ready before the panel  Grin Grin Grin

I promise the next preview will have all the paint aligned as well as the tail  Tongue Cheesy

It's based in an old QANTAS B707 photo i found, so it'll have the same reg# and old fashion design. Hope i can make it worth!

Enjoy!

2 more hours painting and over 5(!!!!) aligning stuff, looks like this now...

Captain Sim, *PLEASE* review the paintkit, it's a pain to align stuff as it is and the middle section colour difference makes me 10 years older for each A/C i paint  Grin Grin Grin

How is it looking now? It's beautiful! This livery would be so convenient to fly down under with the Orbx sceneries! Keep us posted!

Thank you guys, i'll have it ready during this week  Wink

I'm struggling with PanAm's tail paint, i'll finish this one first and then get back on PanAm to do a TAP Air Portugal next.

I'm *still* considering Delta's old colours - It's my favourite ever - But it's quite hard to match, i was hoping David Sweetman would pick it up  Embarrassed

It's finished!  This is a capture from a model animator program that doesn't reflect the actual look of the plane in the simulator, but you'll get a chance to see it later tonight when i get home. It's finished but i have to SEE it in the simulator to pass my approval  Grin

This is the best 732 livery i've made until now as i am getting a bit more experienced with the paintkit, hope you guys enjoy it. I might update the other two i've made previously and correct a few mistakes. If this is the case, i'll let you know obviously.

Off to the PanAm and then TAP Air Portugal as promised. Next?  Time will tell  Cheesy

Beauty!

The paintkit killed my Aerolineas Argentinas livery attempt.  I got close... real close but that darned emmpenage section where it transitions to the tail and then the rudder made me want to put hot pokers in my eyes.

Yeah. I missed it because it didn't stand out enough and I was too engrossed with the fantastic images you put in the reply. I also missed the first sentence. Plus I have been checking the Captain Sim Free Liveries section every day waiting for it to appear.

But there it is in black and white! I think I need new glasses!!!!

I hate them too, but love flying their aircraft. Aer Lingus operate an all Airbus fleet, but while the Airbus is a great plane, I just prefer the Boeing planes.

Anyway, thanks for adding them to the queue. By the way, have Captain Sim sorted out the paint kit misalignment problems yet?

Where can I download this? also could you do a New Zealand National Airline Corporati9on (ZK-NAD) in the delivery white/red silver livery (NAD still survives in the uSA, moves are afoot to preserve her in NZ)

Scroll up, there's a download link just a few posts above in red  Cool

As for the liveries, i am overloaded with stuff (not only repaints) and anything will take a LONG time to come out from my paint shop right now  Sad

I am not in the mood for paintings lately, so even the PanAm which is nearly complete is idling, waiting for completion. I do these in my free time, when i want to, so it depends a bit on my mood  Grin

No promises, but the Pan Am and Tap Air Portugal are next and coming... sometime soon  Tongue

Hi Nuno.

Here is how the 737-200ADV looks with your Qantas repaint on it:

Awesome!!! Smiley

And here is how the 737-100 looks with your Qantas repaint on it:

Shocked Grin I'm not really surprised that it looks like that seeing as the textures are "shared".
I'm still flying with it. Close enough is good enough for me! Cheesy

Oh yes we'd love to fly with your Qantas 737-100. My small contribution (I'm a lousy repainter), a relooked virtual cockpit!

Poster is the cs737_C_22_T.dds texture file... Qantas pin up thanks to Atomic Cafe in Woolloongabba (Qld):

That song is called Suzie Q and I have a CCR cover version of it that goes for about 11 minutes!
The Suzi Q I'm talking about is Suzi Quatro (Can the Can, The Wild One, Devil Gate Drive, just to name a few of her hits)!

I took this photograph at the Suzi Quatro concert at the The Woolshed in Ballarat on the *18th September 2007. I was positioned at the very front of the stage. My copy of Suzi Quatro Unzipped (her autobiography) was signed by Suzi after this concert. One of only 2 that she signed that night. Cool

*The date set on the camera is wrong by three days. I was at the Suzi Quatro concert at the Palais Theatre in Saint Kilda (Melbourne) on the 21-09-2007 (my 49th Birthday). I could not get anywhere as close at the Palais, as I did at the Woolshed.

Any chance of getting a copy of that DDS file? It would suit the inside of the 737 much better than my Suzi Q poster.
I might move SQ to the other side. If Qantas will let me! Grin Cheesy

EDIT: The 737-200C/F Expansion Models have been released (along with v1.0 of the Base Pack). It is great to see this: Note: All the -200 liveries work on the freighters. This means I get to have a Qantas Cargo 737! And no extra work required by you Nuno!
