I downloaded and installed v1.3 last night. The baggage loading ramps I have used so far work. I saw a different one on one aircraft I was using, but I never loaded passengers or baggage that time, I only used it for pushback.

When using pushback, it is now faster too, the guy walks faster than in v1.2.

I like 1.3 a lot better.

Just some HU, although being a few days old. GSX is 1.5 since a while and offers more options on defining the plane's parameters and the ones for the airport. They also have a dedicated forum section over at FSDT to allow for profile sharing.

See the 'sharing areas' on the top of the page. http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=0qdbedl8h6slpnmgc1a440s8c0&...

Wow, did you guys get the latest update? They finally allow for some 3D edits on the doors and things.

Takes a while to get used to as it happens with the slew keys, but it works!  Cheesy

I got it, but had not seen that! Thanks CoolP.

Are they planning on providing a 3D GPU for aircraft? It doesn't have to work, just be a visual object? Has anyone asked for it?

Maybe I should just go and wish for it in a future update myself.  Shocked

Sounds like a good idea. I haven't read that wish so far.

Sure does. But that was after the darn aircraft raced away on me. The changes were being made in a Gate at YMML, while my aircraft was racing towards YSSY (because of the FF joystick leaning backwards too much)! Shocked

Better they gave us the door positioning program, otherwise they would have to buy every commercial plane.

I think it happened because they were flooded with requests for heaps of 3rd party addon aircraft. If they gave us a GPU, then we could place them using the same door positioning program above. Wink

Hahaha.  Grin I had to laugh so hard, mainly because that is exactly what happened here at first. 'Geez, where is my plane going?!'.  Grin

Well, I've forced the thing (joystick) to centre and then it worked. But you can also disable the axes for the slew mode. FSX distinguishes different axes for the normal and slew mode, so this won't harm the normal operation.
Good thing is, once you've set your planes up, you save that gsx.cfg file and have your data set. We could also exchange those files if you like. Same as the GSX forum section over there allows.

Here's mine for the -ADV. Should fit the -200 too. I hope it works reasonably. I've deleted all checks on whether the door is opened or closed, except on the main door.
Code
Select All
[aircraft]
nosegear = 9.0
refueling = 1

[exit1]
pos = -1.65 7.84 -0.749533533002 5.0
code = 1

[exit2]
remove = 1

[exit3]
remove = 1

[exit4]
pos = -1.45 -10.51 -0.199316907472 -5.0
code = 0

[service1]
pos = 1.59 8.34 -0.758259736153 -7.0
code = 0

[service2]
flip = 4
code = 0

[cargo1]
pos = 1.89 4.4 -1.94930535122 -1.0
code = 0
uldcode = BELT

[cargo2]
pos = 0.782560933688 -6.95935304131 -1.691065782 4.0
code = 0
uldcode = BELT

I will support your idea on the GPU, Mark. Give me a HU when you've posted over there.

I'm glad they've made it 3D. I didn't know what to do before that.  Embarrassed It looked like Matrix code to me with those long coordinates.

A tip for you guys (like me) with the 'slew away' plane when you edit those doors. If you pause the sim before editing, the plane will stand still, but the GSX edits still work.

The steps the editor uses for adjusting the doors can be made in a precision mode or a faster one. So if you wonder why the cursor moves so slow or fast, you have to change the mode. NumPad 5 should be the switch key.

You have different angles to me. I have 7.0 degrees for the front exit and service doors and 10 degrees for the rear exit and service doors.

Also. Does the BELT show up at the front/fwd cargo door on the -200/ADV for you? I get nothing happening there, but I do have the extra baggage cart showing. Sad When I adjusted it in 3D, all I got was the blue (vertical) arrow, so I could only make those adjustments. I wonder if I making the distances relative to ground, or aircraft centre line, cause that happen. Undecided

I also need to figure out the "custom" method for opening and closing the service doors. SHIFT+E then 2 opens the cockpit windows. Shocked

Good catch on the angles. I never cared for them, but, so far, those belts look ok when they approach the plane.

Does the BELT show up at the front/fwd cargo door on the -200/ADV for you?
Until now, yes.

The rear one could need some extra fit.

But I saw that one can define the parking spots to show special vehicles or random ones. Perhaps something like that prevents them from showing up for you, although I haven't edited any airport positions for this feature, just for the pushback.

When I adjusted it in 3D, all I got was the blue (vertical) arrow, so I could only make those adjustments.
No other arrows? Even when pressing a lot of keys to cause a huge movement?

I wonder if I making the distances relative to ground, or aircraft centre line
I think it's the model's centre. The values look like that, sort of like the payload and viewing coordinates.

Okay.

I have requested the GPU in their forum: http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=7114.0, so anyone wanting it can add a +1 to it! Wink

Does the BELT show up at the front/fwd cargo door on the -200/ADV for you?
Until now, yes.
Okay. I found out why! See next question for the reason! Roll Eyes

When I adjusted it in 3D, all I got was the blue (vertical) arrow, so I could only make those adjustments.
No other arrows? Even when pressing a lot of keys to cause a huge movement?
Okay. It was below ground level!! Shocked

So large movements upwards (F4) brought it back into view. The coordinate in the config view (before modifying it in 3D) was showing in red text, but I thought nothing of it. That was why the BELT was missing.

A tip for you guys (like me) with the 'slew away' plane when you edit those doors. If you pause the sim before editing, the plane will stand still, but the GSX edits still work.
Great idea CoolP. Thanks! Smiley

Thanks for your help CoolP. It's working like a charm now! Grin
