Question on v4.6...

I'm still using v4.4, as when I upgraded to v4.5 and then subsequently 4.6, I was unable to load saved flights, as all systems would be reset to default. However, when I tried out the new 767 update, I found that, while my old flights would not load correctly, if I saved a new flight with the new version, it would load fine provided I loaded it twice. Is this the same for the 757? I like the new 767 update, so it would be nice to have some of the same features in the 757, but I don't want to go through the hassle of reinstalling all my liveries and such if I'm just going to have to uninstall everything and revert back to 4.4 (and that also means digging through my old computer to find the installer).

Also, I was looking at the screenshots of the 757 on the CS website, and I noticed that the FMC glass is reflective. Was this a feature added on v4.5/4.6?

Thanks,
boeing247

I do not have to load the flights twice in v4.6 (nor in the 767 v1.5). I'm happy with the 757 v4.6.

Do this with the 757 v4.4. Go to FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes and highlight your CS_B757-200, CS_B757-200F & CS_B757-300 and ZIP them. If things are not good with v4.6, reinstall v4.4, then unzip the above, overwriting everything and you will be back where you are now. This might not be able to be done with the McPhat WA liveries, but I don't know how they work with the CS757 because I don't have any of the them.

Do I need to zip the [MSFSX folder]\Captain Sim\757 folder, also, or are those the same in both versions?

I think it is a good idea to add the FSX\Captain_Sim\757 folder to the zip. There are some differences in there, and you might have edited the sound.ini file to help sort out some minor sound issues and it would save on redoing them. If you do revert to 4.4, install it then unzip your backup to overwrite everything and you are back where you are now.

Add the FSX\Captain_Sim\navigation folder too, especially if you subscribe to navigraph update, as they will be out of date after you install 4.6 and/or reinstall 4.4.
