I agree with you, the 787 is a very neat airplane. But I'd like a 747 first.

A 787 is coming from another dev and although I wasn't happy with their 757, I think the latest shots from that thing are very, very nice.

I'm posting this one all the time: I think CS is THE dev when it comes to classic planes. So doing the older 747 with a ton of steam gauges is the way to go in my eyes. Lets not forget that we will soon get a 737 in that way. Can't wait!  Cheesy

Well I for one am tired of seeing the almost complete line of Boeing aircraft that CS has done, don't get me wrong I think they are fantastic but isn't time for a change !. How about dong a Prop plane?
for example: A 4 engine classic like the DC-4  Cheesy
hearing those radials roaring as they come alive

Everyone has there own plane that they would like to see CS do, but please not another Boeing, there are already some very good 747's 787, etc..out there for those wanting those model aircraft, how about making a plane that no other dev has done before. The sim market is saturated with Boeing's and a few Airbuses, time for something different for 2012.

I think it's time for Peter's monthly reminder on the Tristar and/or the DC-10.  Cheesy I'm with him on those two.

I'd just be happy with the 777 cockpit...  Undecided

(But I'd be happy if somebody made a decent A330 or A340)

Though I personally would not want to see a 787 Captain until the 787 becomes more widely-used.

something different would be nice, a decent Tristar would be awsome, also, lets see some Biritish or European aircraft, im sick of seeing American dominance, lets see some HS tridents or a Comet 3-4 or even a BAC 1 11 and VC 10

Did you not start this topic?  Cheesy

No harm in asking but with all due respect you guys asking for "change" are barking up the wrong tree...CS has established their product line with great success(I hope...still in biz), I could be wrong and if so I will happily eat my words but all I am saying is: its not going to happen.

Watch for other developers to do these British/Euro-(asian) models.

I guess it's the "im sick of seeing American dominance" that bugs me...I'm sure CS has done their market research.

Wink

dbhally- The point is that considering CS has only the 747 to do in the Boeing line (the 787 hasn't been out long enough and they likely will skip the 717 because it's really not Boeing and not particularly popular), CS has options on what to do next. Perhaps they've already decided, but as you may have noticed, they don't really like to say what they're doing, so there's no way of knowing. And you say they've done their market research. Well, isn't market research finding out what people will buy? Now, it seems to me that a TriStar would be very popular indeed (I personally would like to see an A330, but most people are requesting that a TriStar be made).

Now, as I've said multiple times before, they have a 737 and 777 to do, so whatever they decide on to do next (which I personally believe will be a 747, but I could very well be wrong) will not be known for a while.

boeing247,

When I say they have done their market research I feel its self evident what the outcome has been and I personally don't see any gaps approaching to take on an entirely new (as in manufacturer) aircraft anytime soon.

How long before the 777 and 737 are out and working properly (with all expansions available) before they could start something new? I think about a year at least.

I would be shocked now if they didn't do a 747 but...you never know...but this is what I've gathered...

A 747 would keep them busy for a long time...it could be two separate product lines, nostalgic and modern with lots of expansions.

They have also mentioned updating the F-104 for fsx, I hope they update the MiG21 as well.

There are rumors of a 757 5.0, I'm all for it, not another free update but a new product.

Don't forget about the 767-400, they have mentioned that it is still possible. (I think we will see this too and hope so.)

Now, by this time even if you leave out the F-104 and the MiG21 we are years down the road...who knows but it seems to me they have more than enough to keep them very busy for a long time and the notion of CS leaving all this for something else is disturbing to me and seems unlikely.

or they could surprise us all, I hope for the former.
BTW...
Do you really think an L-1011 would sell better than a 787? Don't get me wrong, I like the Lockheed and would buy it from CS, I have flown on them many times in the past and would really like to have a CS version of one in fsx but I strongly disagree that it would be more popular in sales than a CS787.

Sincerely,
Dave Smiley
