boeing247,
When I say they have done their market research I feel its self evident what the outcome has been and I personally don't see any gaps approaching to take on an entirely new (as in manufacturer) aircraft anytime soon.
How long before the 777 and 737 are out and working properly (with all expansions available) before they could start something new? I think about a year at least.
I would be shocked now if they didn't do a 747 but...you never know...but this is what I've gathered...
A 747 would keep them busy for a long time...it could be two separate product lines, nostalgic and modern with lots of expansions.
They have also mentioned updating the F-104 for fsx, I hope they update the MiG21 as well.
There are rumors of a 757 5.0, I'm all for it, not another free update but a new product.
Don't forget about the 767-400, they have mentioned that it is still possible. (I think we will see this too and hope so.)
Now, by this time even if you leave out the F-104 and the MiG21 we are years down the road...who knows but it seems to me they have more than enough to keep them very busy for a long time and the notion of CS leaving all this for something else is disturbing to me and seems unlikely.
or they could surprise us all, I hope for the former.
BTW...
Do you really think an L-1011 would sell better than a 787? Don't get me wrong, I like the Lockheed and would buy it from CS, I have flown on them many times in the past and would really like to have a CS version of one in fsx but I strongly disagree that it would be more popular in sales than a CS787.
Sincerely,
Dave
