Loaded a flight and...
Dec 12th, 2011 at 4:17pm
Print Post
I'm doing a B762 14-hour flight and when I loaded the flight all systems were off. Only GEN, BUS systems and engines were "operating".
I read someone else mentioned this situation but I haven't found any solutions.
I've tried a lot at FL390 but nothing would help.
Someone please help, thanks

After setting up the plane mid-air as if it was the preflight, everything but both Yaw Dampers, IRS and master generator seem to work. No avionics  Angry

I just had similar mysterious problems - then I suddenly remembered a good advice from another company during my good old Boeing 777 times:

Leave FSX and launch FSX again and then load the "Default Flight", then leave Default Flight and load the 767...then problems usually will have been illuminated!  Wink

So you load one flight, then another one and then the one you had first?

CoolP; closed FSX, opened it again and joined the default flight with the Trike Ultralight over Friday Harbor and Fair Weather, etc. Loaded my 767 flight and now it's flyable. It's just to open the flight though another one I guess.
Morten thank you very much.

That's a strange method, but if it helps, it's a good one, right?  Smiley

Did you start this flight on the previous version and then loaded it after you upgraded? When I upgraded to 1.5, all my saved flights were ruined--all systems turned off. However, I'm now having no trouble. Sometimes the autopilot will be reset, but in that case I just load the flight once or twice more and for whatever reason it rights itself.

I have never been able to load a saved flight with the Captain Sim 767. All my flights are done with the Sim Rate set to normal (1x), I might pause FSX, but my computer always remains ON to preserve the flight.

I'll have to give that method a try.

Glad it solved your problem!

In fact you only have to open the fsx Default flight for a short moment, that is until it has launched fully (but you don't have to actually fly!). Then from here go directly back to set up your aimed new 767 flight through Free Flight.
Actually, I also remember PSS's 747-200 having that procedure to it - not just as an option - but as part of a obligatory standard procedure, before each and every time you were going to load their 747!
I guess, it properly was the PSS support department that had introduced that rule...getting tired of dealing with all sorts of black magic..!  Smiley

December 2011, an official supporter of Captain Sim, namely Mark, gave the advise to leave the PC on to be able to load a flight.
January 2012, the worldwide energy consumption was raised by 30% over Jan2011 and experts are still looking for the cause.  Grin

Switch to Solar Power. The experts say that Sol (our sun) is good for about another 4.567 billion years. I somehow doubt I will still be alive by then. Grin
