Liveries from Legendary 727

I placed some liveries from the Legendary 727 into the 727 Captain, and some work and some do not. The ones that do not work appear black on the fuselage. Is there a way to fix this issue?

They require a texture.cfg file that contains something like this (from the -100):

[fltsim]

fallback.1=..\texture
fallback.2=..\texture\spec
fallback.3=..\texture\bump
fallback.4=..\texture\night
fallback.5=..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\texture
fallback.6=..\..\..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\texture

You can copy one from the texture.xx folder of the model you put it in (e.g. the CS_B727-100\texture.aa or CS_B727-200\texture.aircanada etc..).

Make sure the names of the textures are correct by comparing them to other default textur.xx folders. They should be, but they will BMP instead of DDS. Wink

Thanks, Mark!

P.S. When I was working on this, I noticed that I have the SITM livery for the 727 in the file, but it does not appear in the aircraft selection. Do you know what could be wrong there?

There are a number of reasons for why.
1) The panel folder or CFG is wrong, like not pointing to the right folder or the gauges are not where it is being told they are, but I doubt it is this reason.
2) The model.cfg is not pointing to the correct MDL files. I would almost bet it could be this one.
3) The texture folder or the actual textures might be missing. This one is another good possibility.

I do have the textures and the texture file, but I noticed in the aircraft.cfg file that the SITM entry is not there.

I do have the textures and the texture file, but I noticed in the aircraft.cfg file that the SITM entry is not there.

The entry should look like this:

[fltsim.8]
title=CS 727-100 Captain Paint8
sim=cs727100
model=re_another company
panel=
sound=
texture=sitm
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=VP-BAB
atc_airline=SITM
atc_flight_number=0001
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=727-100 another company/RE
ui_variation=SITM
ui_typerole=Commercial Airliner
ui_createdby=Captain Sim
description=727 Captain (727-100 Base Pack) v2.3\n(c) 2009 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com ;
visual_damage=1

Are you sure you didn't actually delete it using ACE? I must admit that I thought that ACE deleted the texture folder as well.

I'm pretty sure that I did not delete it. I can't think of a reason that I would delete it so I probably did not.

Wow, cool.  I just added a nice PanAm livery to my -200's that was from the Legendary downloads.
