I'm at such a loss.

I recently bought your Captain Sim 707 from FLIGHTSIM.com (pilot shop)
When I started the aircraft here is all the problems with it.

1. All gauges are black
2. No gauges work (shift+3 etc.) Shows gray box than disappears
3. No landing gear
4. No spoiler animations
5. Yoke snaps back to regular position
6. Aileron not working
7. Other cabin animations not working

Before I bought the product, I got the demo. (wrong mistake)
Before I bought the product, I uninstalled the demo

It's like the bought product is the same as the demo!!!!! I looked on some other topics, and i did clean the registry and re-installed, but it's still not working. I've re-downloaded the entire thing, no luck.

I'm at a complete loss. I don't know what to do....

Hi gunju221,

If you don't use Acceleration for FSX, make sure that you have installed both FS Service Pack SP1 and SP2. They are essential and indispensable part of the minimum requirements to be able to use CS planes properly.

You must install SP1 before installing SP2, so download both and install them.

Thanks... I installed SP1 and SP2, and now my entire Flightsim stopped working.

Every-time it's don't loading flights it stops responding with a black screen.... wow.

Put your FSX disc 1 in the CD/DVD drive, and do a repair of the FSX installation. If you have Acceleration, do the same for that, put the Disc in the drive and do a repair. If you don't have Acceleration, then reinstall SP1 and SP2. FSX Gold is the same as having FSX Deluxe & Acceleration.

Be aware that if you have Acceleration, when you install it,  will install SP1 first, then install Acceleration with its own version of SP2.

This should fix FSX.

Thanks! I will do that within a few minutes and let you know how it works.

After that, do I need to install SP1 and SP2 again?

If you could stay online and help till I get this working you would be my hero

Now I'm in even worse trouble.

Every-time I start fsx I get "A fatal error occurred." and it shuts down.

Sorry for posting "bumps"; seems like everyone's ignoring me...

I got FSX working by uninstalling SP2.

I have had the biggest HELL problems with SP2.

I can't seem to get the game working after I install it!!!

What is the issue?

P.S; nothing is workig still

Heres a Suggestion, for what its worth - maybe it'll work , maybe it won't - but I'd go into my Sim Objects folders, ans Save ALL my Aircraft to a different place ,,  then DELETE the entire Sim,, and Re-Install the Sim again,,, after that see what happens ???? frustrating I know ,, be patient, take your time ,,, you'll get it,,,, eventually  , hopefully ??

Are you getting the correct language version of SP2 for FSX?

Other than that, uninstall then reinstall FSX and SP1 and SP2.
Without FSX being updated to SP2 or Acceleration, the Captain Sim 707 will continue to give you problems that can't be fixed!

After a long discussion with a support guy, he said that my computer was incompatible for SP2, (specs), and even FSX.

So, he gave me a discontinued FS9 version of the 707.

It's pretty decent.. not as detailed VC and Body.. but it works..

May I ask what computer specs you've got there? However, nice to hear that you have a working 707 now.

Okay.... I just got an ENTIRE new computer!

New 64-bit fast as ever smooth Windows 7 with FSX and SP2 installed.

The gauges are working now... however the 707 is still in DEMO MODE!???

WHY? WHAT THE HECK? No landing gear or anything.

I've tried removing the registry, I've uninstalled and re-installed with "Run as Administrator" several times.... Nothing. Still in "demo mode"

I bought the 707 from "FLIGHTSIM". Could that have something to do with the activation? My serial was the PS(ORDERNUMBER) type. Should I do the manual activation? Whatever it takes, I want this soo bad....

I suspect that the file (csx701_1300.exe) might be corrupt so check-in to Your Profile > Product > Extended Download Service > Get New Links and download a new installer. Reinstall using the Repair option might fix your problem.

If it remains in Demo mode then I guess something is wrong with the activation of the software. Uninstall it again, remove the registry entry and reinstall. Choose the Offline Activation Method. It is very easy to do:

If you are unable to use instant Online Activation you can try to activate product manually Offline. (ignore this line)
- First of all please make sure you have the latest version of the product
- GENERATE AND SEND YOUR SYSTEM CODE.
- Run a product installer .exe file at your computer upon which you intent to use the product.
- Review the license terms and click 'I Agree' if you accept them to proceed.
- Select Manual Offline Activation method.
- Submit Activation Request: enter the Order Number (make sure you enter correct Order Number for the product you are activating!) and valid e-mail address. Please double check you enter Order Number and e-mail address WITHOUT SPACES
- You will get a message that System Code file has been generated and saved to selected location. Click 'Next' to continue.
- Transfer System Code (code_xXXX.txt) file to any computer connected to the Internet.
- At the computer connected to Internet open this page. Click 'Browse' and select the System Code (code_xXXX.txt) file. Press 'Send a code'.
- System will connect to our server and generate a Key file.

HOW TO USE THE KEY FILE:
- Save generated Key (key_xXXX.txt) file. Do not rename it!
- Transfer the Key (key_xXXX.txt) file to your MSFS gaming computer.
- Run the product installer file (.exe)
- Choose 'Manual Offline Activation'
- Choose 'Use a Key received from Captain Sim' and follow the installer prompts.
