Thanks and Cheers

Hi Machie,

The Transponder Control Panel is at Forward Aisle Stand.

Please see B707 Captain’ FLIGHT MANUAL Part II – Aircraft and Systems - page 63.

Hope this helps.

Pinatubo.

After you get a flight plan, you can use both Doppler System or CIVA INS. My favourite is the first one because the second seems to me a little tedious to use, because you must insert each waypoint coordinates (LAT and LON) before and during flight. The system is limited up to 9 waypoints (0 - 8). So, if your flight plan has a lot of them (long haul flight), you must constantly insert the new ones in the INS "carousel". Give it a try in both systems and make your choice.

Hi Pinatubo

Thanks for the further help--I will look for the INS input on the flight deck--I am an old Aviator (props) we used to sort of Aim the Aircraft in the general direction and watch the wind on the waves or take sun shots with the sextant (if we had any outside visibility)

Cheers

Hi Pinatubo,

More questions

1. Where can I learn how to program the INS?

2. I have been trying to fly from SBGL to FAJS but I run out of fuel from some tanks in the mid Atlantic ( I can not figure out how to change or manage the fuel from tank to tank and from tanks to engines.  Help!!!

Cheers
