A question about the FMS on the CS757

I hope someone can give me a bit of advice on the CS757 FMS.

(I'm running ver 4.6 of CS757)

I'm trying to figure-out how to program the CDU so that I can setup the FMC to fly to a waypoint/navaid on a specific radial.

For example: Flying into the SE corner of Colorado and I want to fly inbound to the Lamar VOR on the 160 radial. I know how to tune in a VOR to the correct radial and get the plane to fly it using the LOC. But i cannot figure out how to program the CDU so that the aircraft will fly it's current heading and then intercept the radial and then turn towards the correct heading.

I've read the FMS section of the manual and don't really see a clear explanation of how to do this.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi:

Not sure if I understood you correctly, but have you looked at the PBD (Place-Bearing/Distance) type of manual waypoint definitions (pg. 17 of cs757-manual5)...

e.g. LAA340/30=LAA01 should create a user waypoint at 30nm away from LAA VOR along the 340 radial (i.e. north of Lamar VOR).

Hmmm...enjoying Colorado scenery from a 757... Wink...

Happy flying.
