757-200 Range

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but i can't seem to find a definitive answer...

What would be the maximum range of a CS 757-200? Was just wondering if I could stretch to a Heathrow (EGLL) to Newark (KEWR) flight.

Cheers,

Rich

I found on Airliners.net, various info on the 757-200,and it appears that it would have no problem with the route from Newark to Heathrow.

Rich:

The real 757-200 does it...so, yes, you should be able to do it w/ CS 757-200. I did actually take this particular CO flight (see below) a couple of years ago (pre-merger). Please search Flightaware for CO #114 (please note it's the reverse KEWR-to-EGLL leg). Yours will be a "long" flight...Have fun...

I've been flying United's Star Alliance N14120 routes...

if you go to flight aware and enter the tail number of an aircraft it will show its position IRT and give a brief history of past flights. It will also show you the flight plan with SIDs and STARs usually, pretty much all the info in previous post should be there.

http://flightaware.com/

I went looking through United 757 flights for the longest duration flights and this is one of the planes that I found...UAL/COA N14120...Newark to Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Madrid...etc.

The cost index should be zero for economy cruise. One of my flights from Hamburg to Newark I entered a cost index of 5 or 10 when I took off, later I changed it to zero somewhere over the Atlantic and wound up running out of fuel while I was taxiing to the gate...ooops!

If anyone knows of a good long haul route for a 757 by another carrier please list them.

Smiley

BTW...my gross weight was aprx.249,000lbs on these flights over the Atlantic, MTOW is around 255K lbs. you can of course take the 757 much farther unloaded, I bet an empty one could do Sydney to L.A.
