I really need some help getting 4.6 (Read 1936 times)

	It seems that the farther I go above 50 years old, the less adept I am with computers. I have purchased the CS 757-200, -300, -Freighter, Block F. However, the last download I'm able to get for the 757-200 seems to be the file CSX752_1400. Is there somebody who could talk me through this process? I'd really appreciate it.

	As I understand it, you have bought the whole deal? Are these all v1.4? If they are, you are entitled to exchange them for the CS 757-200, -300 and -Freighter v4.6. You need to contact Support to ask for the exchange. Check-in to Your Profile > Product > Customer Support > Search KB or Submit New Ticket and enter KB #1169 (without the #). It gives all the information you need, on how to make he exchange.

	Hi, Bob. � Could it be that you are talking about the FS9 version of the 757? 4.something is FSX and only the FSX version was updated. Your installer seems to state 1.4 (1400), which is FS9 stuff. So you would have to own at least a 4.something base pack (csp751_4400 for example) to be able to download 4.6 for FSX.

Verion 1.4 was the version for Block B, which is still on his purchase record. Version 4.xx is the Block F upgrade, which despite it's name is in reality a full install of the Base Pack. He says he bought the Block F upgrade, (I think the only difference is it checks if Block B was installed at some point via a registry entry) so he should use that installer, or wait for the exchange. We just got confirmation from Tanya (CS) that the installer for Block F is 4.6 even though it says 4.5. She said it's fixed now and now reflects the correct version number. I just got my email for the exchange, so I installed the normal base pack. I haven't tried it yet though.

	Customer service came through with the links that I needed. They also got all of my e-mails changed to my current one. As I said, I'm beginning to feel less computer-literate as I age. CS customer service couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks to all who responded. Bob Jones

	Seems like I'm happy to never have joined those whole 'block' thingy. So apologies for mixing the thread a bit up with my FS9 theory.
