SAEZ Here We Come!

As of late I have been on an Aerolineas Argentinas trip.

This is my second repaint and is a great excuse not to write a dissertation.  Tweaks are required but it is about 98% there.

I hope you all enjoy.

Dan

Raul,

Gracias amigo.

The airplane is coming along, but I am still not happy with some details and do not have time at the moment to complete it.  I warn you the registration is not accurate. LV-ISA as far as I can tell did not wear this livery but as I am half Argentinan, flew many times to Argentina on Aerolineas, and my daughter is named ISA (LV "love" - ISA Wink) I made it wear this livery.  I also named the plane "Reina de Antartida" because of my daughter but also because LV-ISA carried the name "Antartida Argentina".

I also am working on this version of Aerolineas colors for the 707 that I have painted on this 737 which I named "El Pampero". This is a tribute airplane registration for my father whose friends called him "El Pamero" because he grew up in a region called "Las Pampas".

Hi Dan
I waited so long for this paint Smiley
My dad flew the 707 with this original paint from 1966 to 1973.
I flew it also as a kid and used to love sleeping in those beds they had for crew rest.
I flew long flichts from Buenos Aires to New York, with stops in Santiago, Lima and Miami.

Great days!

Kapitan,

Excellent!  I hope I can live up to the expectation.  Just for that I will send along another pic!  She is close to being ready, but there are still touches.  If you can tell me, did this livery have the registration under the wing?  If so which one and how big?

"La Reina" as I would have known her.

Hi Dan, Kapitan, queridos amigos virtuales, Dear virtual friends, beautiful experiences and beautiful hobby the one that we share, of flying, because we are pilots, "real virtual pilots", the only difference is that there are no real stewardesses... Roll Eyes

Dan, I am just starting out with repainting, what program(s) are you using to do the paint work?

I have DXTBmp and the GIMP2 and five thumbs on all hands when it comes to learning how to manipulate this stuff. There are a number of repaints I want to try for the 727 and 707 myself.

Oh and I nearly forgot nice work so far with the Arerolinias Argentinia paint job! Wink

Dan I nearly forgot, the registration under the wing is an international standard for aircraft markings so everybody does the same thing check out ICAO or your local Aviation Authority they will have a reference to how big and where all the markings should go on aircraft.

Happy simming!

Raul,

Some of us are real pilots, but sims are the only way we will ever fly these planes.  Sad, but at least they exist.

Coastal,

I use Photoshop CS5, DXTBmp combo.  I am new to the game so I feel like I am at about 3 thumbs.  I am lucky that I am comfy with PS so I can work some tricks to save time.  So far its all trial and error.

I am used to FAA regs only so I will check out the ICAO.  Thanks!

Dan,
if you wish I can help with some details. You could make the logo a bit smaler below the nose (see pics attached).

Also, note the black shade in the nose is not so long, it stops well before the tip of the nose.

In reality, its not your fault, the flightsim model has the nose a little bit distorted than it really was. Try if it looks better with a shorter, maybe it doesnt, I dont know.

Other than that looks great both, the 737 also!
Hope it comes soon!
regards
K
