Who needs Concorde anyway? Mach 2.18 after less than 10 seconds.

And that was on half throttle with the 737-200 and a little '0' added on the thrust value.

This also gave me a nice VTOL takeoff since the thrust increase pitched the a/c up and the thrust itself then blew it off the ground.
The only downside so far are the "slightly" higher skin temps.  Shocked

See? A/c design is easy.  Grin Although the fuel burn has gone up too. Maybe I can glide down from 100.000ft.  Cool
Feeling quite lonely up here.  Undecided

Up there at around 100.000ft, in my 737-200, I saw this. I think I see the world in an different angle now.  Embarrassed

Grin Lol, you guys are nuts!  Grin

While you actually are, does the change also affect the reverse thrust?

Never tried reverse thrust. I don't like the idea of trying to peal my face of the windshield!

And you said we were nuts CoolP. You went and did it in the 737-200, which increased the thrust in that aircraft to what? 242,000? WOW! 87,000 lbs of thrust more (about 56% more) than we used. Cheesy

Yep. I'd say we've lost some marbles. But gee it's fun! Grin Grin

And while we are joking about space flights, Mr. Branson once again is a step ahead. One doesn't have to like him, but I truly adore the 'child's dream force' behind his projects.
It's all about the money of course, but what an offer, huh?

Awesome! It looks like Mr Branson, along with Burt Rutan's help, are likely to be taking people into space with regularity. It may not be very far off either. Smiley
If only I had the money to pay to be able to afford a ticket on one of those flights! Sad

Did you see that booking form on their page, where you can enter the question you like to know more about? 'Do you serve Fosters?' fits in there, I guess.  Cheesy

I have to look closer later since I'd like to know how high and how long they will fly you (or plan to do). But you are right, amazing thing and although the 'galactic' name may be a bit too enthusiastic, I think it's one of the nicer faces of money business so far.

Clever thing, they even have some NASA bookings in the box, so some science money will be going into that project too.
