"Freeze-up"..
I have tried most sensible adjustments on my computer but to no avail.
I'm no computer "Wiz", so I don't know much about .xml type adjustments and the sorts.. I can safely assume a great number of "Simmers" are the same.
The (WEAPON FOR FSX) add-on is becoming somewhat of a challenge with regards to getting it to do what you would like it to do.
When I fire the rockets my screen will freeze and then the next thing you see is a ball of fire, sometimes.
Often when firing I can not see any rockets at all and still freeze up.
I can't figure out what else to do but wait and hope there will be a fix or patch or update.

Sounds to me like when you fire rockets, it is too much for you system to handle. Rather than firing a salvo, try firing one or two at a time. Press CTRL+SHIFT+8 to cycle on the firing modes.

Thank you..
I'll give that a go.. And furthermore, it is about time for me to upgrade.
I have never had an Add-on affect the performance of my system quite as profound as WFSX..
So this can only mean we are about to see a very powerful weapon system developed from all the feedback of those of us who dared take a chance on this Add-on.

I had the same problem on my old computer (haven't used Weapon yet on the new one). If you use just fire the rockets without changing the amount fired, you will fire 60 at once, which will overload your computer until they explode. However, if you change it so you are only firing four or less at a time, there should be no problem.

When you say that Weapon affects your performance, do you mean just in this instance, or with everything else? While I had this problem with rockets, missiles and guns worked perfectly fine.

Boeing 247-
I only have the freeze-up when I fire the rockets.
I don't know what missle and bombs do because I can't figure out how to load the bombs to drop.
However I understand You must lock-on a target before you can fire a missle.. That is something that will take a little practice.
Funny thing is, when I'm in (AIRHULER), my screen doe'nt freeze-up when I fire the rockets.. In fact I see the ammo released and strike and explode with fire and smoke.
I have'nt shot anything out of the air yet.

To fire missiles you need to "lock on" to the target. And Weapon for FSX does not have the capability to drop bombs yet. Hopefully it soon will.
