The L-1011 would be nice, but I prefer modern aircraft. I want to see a 747 the most, but a light or mid-sized executive jet might be nice for something different.

Out of the DC-10, the MD-11, and the L1011, I'd take the L1011. It's something different.

Though as I said earlier, I'd like to see more modern planes. I'd really like to see CS do an Airbus. I'm not a big fan of Airbus as a company (not to spark a debate here), but I have to admit they make good planes, and the only good Airbus for FSX is the Airbus X (A320). I'd like to see an A340 or, even better, an A330, which I've noticed is becoming popular.

Do you guys have a problem calling it a TriStar? I see so many people quoting "L1011", but I have always known the aircraft as a TriStar, and it is a much better designation than "L1011".

On topic, I would love to see a TriStar, particularly the RAF  -500 version.

CS is still busy with the cockpits for the 737 and the 777...

it would be nice if they plan some focus on doing some updates on the other birds, like the 727 and 707 Smiley

Well, at least in the industry, it was referred to as L-1011 most of the time; especially at Delta, their largest operator.

I've never heard of an L1011 TriStar being called an MD-11 before. Huh

Good evening everybody,
For me, I prefer an L1011 Tristar. That's the last civil bird made by Lockheed. It's the first who can make an autoland. And it's very beautiful with the Delta Airline livery. But for the moment let the Captain Sim team work with their proLine products ( 737 and 777 ).

If it had to be one or the other I would take the Lockheed over Douglas but I really want a CS 747-100, 200, 400 and F.

I recently got others 747-400 and I like it but CS could do it a lot better.

At some point, when CS has released base packs for the next two, we should have another poll.

polls are fun! Cheesy

The Lockheed L-1011 is ugly. I'm not saying it doesn't fly well or that it wasn't/isn't a good plane. I just think it looks ugly. Undecided

Good evening everybody,

dear Markoz, in France we says " les gouts et les couleurs, çà ne se discute pas ". For me it's a beautiful widebody trijet. The third engine is  well integrated in the tail like the 727. And he as very good technology inside. That's why I vote for the L1011.

Aircraft, like cars have a face...some are more appealing than others and some are downright strange. I've heard engineers say "if it looks right it is right" which is totally subjective but I think the L-1011 has a much better "face" than the Douglas aircraft.

Even though the A380 is a wonder of aviation, I would never want it due to the fact that it's got an "ugly face" imo.

If CS did an Airbus I would hope for the A340, which is a very sleek looking aircraft to me.

Now that the 737 is getting close to release, CS may be ready to announce the next project.

Mark, I don't think I've seen any of your picks, if you don't mind...what would be your pick of aircraft for CS to do?

Hi dbhally.

but I think the L-1011 has a much better "face" than the Douglas aircraft.
I really love the look of the DC-10 and MD-11. I always have. For me, it is the way that the engine is mounted in the back that makes the L-1011 look ugly.

Even though the A380 is a wonder of aviation, I would never want it due to the fact that it's got an "ugly face" imo.
The A380 is one ugly bid. Sorry Airbus fans, but to me it is uglier than many aircraft, but not the L-1011. I think the Airbus A318, A319, A320 and A321 on the other hand are the most beautiful looking Airbus aircraft. Too bad they will ruin it's looks with the new sharklets.

I don't really like the look of the A340 or the A330 either really. I find them odd looking too. Sleek? Maybe. But odd looking.

I have said this a few times, but for your benefit, here it is. I would love Captain Sim to do the 747-100/200/SP. It will be interesting to see what Captain Sim have decided to do after the 737 and 777 are completed. I guess they will be looking into the overhaul of the 757 (v5.0) and 767 (2.0).

I remember when I first saw the 747. It was a strange looking aircraft, but within a year or two, I got to like the look. A lot! That just has not happened with the A380. Quite some years after its release, I still don't like the look of it.

Sleek may not have been the best word for the A340 but its a nice aircraft...some of the long haul routs I want to fly use this plane.

I do remember you saying you would like the 747-100 etc. but not that it would be your pick.

I think it's the only way to go for CS and I do hope its what they do.

thanks

My wants for Captain Sim was.
#1 The 737-100/200. And I was lucky they chose to do it. The freighter didn't matter too much back then, but I'm quite interested now, as I am with the 737-200ADV. But I love the 737-100 the most for some strange reason.
#2 is the 747-100/200/SP and any other 747 model (like a freighter) that is part of that original series.

I was never interested in the 777 and knew little about them until Captain Sim released the 777-200 Exterior. Since then I am keen to get it for some of those extremely long flights.

Until some really nice Airbuses get released, I won't buy them (excluding the A300 and A320/321 X which I already own). All the talk I have seen in the forums is about the difficulty with replicating the FADEC control, so it is hard to "get it right". I see that a few other developers are have been doing one for ages and sounds really good doing Airbuses, but most want to do another A320/A321 series so it will be another aircraft with an oversupplied in FSX. The AS Airbus X is really nice (I love the simplicity of it), but I do look forward to the release of the Extended version as it sounds like a good improvement and a bit more complex to fly. But I still want to fly version 1.xx because it's simplicity is a nice break from all the complex aircraft I use. The developer of that great SST-X, has been working on an A320 Series for quite some time now, and I hope it will be a good complex version. Perhaps more so than the A320/321 X.

Maybe Captain Sim would be willing to give it a try, but it could take a long time before it got released. We might even get an Exterior Model to tide us over for a couple of years or more! OUCH! Shocked
